Well even if he wasn't diagnosed, it seems obvious he suffers from depression with the extreme weight gain and the bizarre things he says.
Joe Frazier was watching Roberto Duran when he was the reigning WBA Lightweight Champion in 1972. Joe stated that Duran had the look in his eyes of Charles Manson, because when he hit his opponents he had that look in his eyes. I have posted that before. Joe said that Duran gave him the creeps.

Same wife. No cheating/prostitutes. No arrests. No suicide attempts. No rehab. No bankruptcy. Never got cancelled. Obesity, drug abuse/alcoholism vanished immediately once his boxing license came back. Consistency in the ring. Never named a psych med, which is how bipolar is treated. It just doesn't add up to me. Overweight young men who like to drink and do coke is commonplace for England. Their culture practically dictates it.
