    Much more common in Māori culture (or pacific island culture in general) but by no means 'common' in NZ for women to have large tattoos.

    Women’s boxing is just such low quality if fights like this and the Ebanie Bridges fight are world title fights then that is just sad

    Esquivel out very aggressive, flailing trying to maul her. Johnson is starting to time her now, jabbing her consistently, then lands several eye catching left hooks, then two nasty straight right, on the button. Melissa came back late, but too little too late.

    It's not their fault. It's atrocious viewing but anyone would take the chance if given it. It's the loud mouths like Ebanie that a really insufferable.

    Melissa did some decent body work early, Johnson comes back, landing the cleaner shots down the middle,to the body when she attempts to flurry, and to the head when at range.

    Did anyone hear that noise about 20 seconds before the end of that round? Sounded like a banged up bell. I think it was a fork/knife on a plate.

    Can't believe this is a world title fight.

    Tbh this is how I saw the fight.
    Esquivel with the aggressive volume but getting timed bu the fewer cleaner harder shots.
