Why was Fury so respectful to Whyte?

Normally Fury likes to wind up his opponents like with Wilder, but he's been very respectful to Whyte throughout and at today's presser

Fury beats people mentally by goading them out of their normal state and they put on a front/facade. Whyte isn't that kind of guy, if Fury goaded him it would show weakness.

Fury was goading Wilder quite a lot in the 3rd bout because deep down he knew he wasn't in good condition to fight. He needed to get an edge.

If Whyte smack talked it would have shown weakness. You can't put on a character in front of Fury, he will engage it or explore it to see what's really underneath.

Whyte is pretty mentally strong. It's physicality and boxing skill which puts him on edge and we'll see that on Saturday. Words mean nothing to him.

My issue is whyte not being given the recognition and respect he deserves as an opponent by fury fans on here but thats okay since Fury gave all the respect to Whyte in the press conference and for what? 94k already signed up to attend before the presser. Fury was being genuine here. He reconizes whyte as a dangerous opponent and he trained hard accordingly .

Yet the majority on the forum believe Whyte is a walkover, tickover, stepping stone, punchers chance.

let’s see fight night if Whyte is as terrible as the 100+ posters on here would have you believe.

If Whyte is competitive, than that already blows apart the notion that Fury is head and shoulders, levels above.

but if Whyte wins, my god....

Well, if he does turn out to be a walkover we know you won't be around to hear any of it.

I don’t hide from the forum I take breaks from the Fury worshipping echo forum that dominates the site. Clearly Whyte the most hated heavyweight on the forum.

Difference is I said several times Whyte can lose and it would be his hardest fight. Which is a more realistic response from the opposition here saying Whyte has close to zero per cent chance.

Thats delusional, and this conversation is silly.. hence my breaks from the forum.

Whyte isn't well known enough to be hated or loved.

But you hid after Povetkin knocked him out. I remember you bigging Whyte up before that and then suddenly you were gone.

No way can Fury knocked Whyte out with one shot but Whyte can knock Fury down with one shot, he already has, can`t wait, I`m putting a pound on Whyte.

You would be more respected if you just owned up to it instead of saying you took a break because of the Fury noise. Just man up, say you got your heart broken and had to take a break due to it.
Whyte has a chance, but not a great one. Maybe 20% I'd say? I hope you enjoy the fight no matter the outcome, I know I will!
