She’s no Clare Balding, but she’ll do!

I've had a lot of people, who are very much casuals, asking me for the past couple of weeks what am I doing for the fight. They see the adverts on loop while they watch the football, which is something a platform like DAZN just can't compete with. This fight will sell well I think.

I notice her mic doesn't have one of them muffler things on it. Adam Smith probably took it off so he can collect her saliva in it and take it home with him later.

Chisora's bitterness of Fury knows no bounds. The guy predicts everyone to beat him. :risas3:

They are good mates, why would he be bitter?

"Good mates" is a stretch, I think.

You'd have to ask him why he is bitter, but he clearly is. I mean, Chisora is at minimum a sociopath. I'm fairly certain that his bitterness derives from, but is not limited to, the fact that he and Fury were once spoken of in the same breath, and he was battered by Fury not once, but twice, with the second beating being fairly humiliating. I was embarrassed for Chisora just watching it, and he had to give up. Fury is also one of the only people to make Chisora look like a fool in the "trash talking" stakes, and Fury was not in the slightest bit intimidated by Chisora.

It's not uncommon for "mates" to be bitter of their friends who are doing well, in some way. Loads of "mates" are bitter when their "mate" gets a better car than them, better house, better job, better degree, partner who is perceived as better regarding wealth, appearance, status etc.

That's the difference between a colleague/acquaintance type "mate" and a genuinely "good mate".

Chisora talks Fury down in every interview, and does so with bitterness etched over his face, without an ounce of charisma.

He would be absolutely delighted should Whyte knock Fury out on Saturday, but he would also be bitter that Whyte, a man who is also somehow compared with himself, managed to do what he couldn't come close to doing.

Chisora is a very jealous type of guy, and a **** boxer.

Chisora has an interest in Whyte winning so he can fight him, a third fight against Whyte is not totally out of the question and winnable whereas a third fight against Fury is a non starter. Eddie would love a bit of Whyte v Chisora 3.

I'm expecting a Fury masterclass. A mix of the defensive movement against Klitschko and the powerful punching against Wilder. That's basically what Sugar Hill said they've been working on and Fury is coming in light having clearly trained very hard.

I think Fury will light up Whyte from round one and finish a tired and battered Whyte in the championship rounds. That's genuinely what my head says. However, Whyte poses a threat with the left hook while he's in there and that's what makes it an exciting matchup.

John Fury Is a clown. We all know that.

Part of it is definitely the fact that Fury schooled and battered Chisora twice when the conventional wisdom was that Chisora was either the favourite or a very live underdog lol. But as with Haye, I suspect there is ethnic animus there: billed as 6'9, 270 lbs and undefeated with great wins, Irish Gypsy Fury makes not just the Chisora's, Haye's and AJ's look bad but also, in their minds, the fighters of the past look bad. They are absolutely desperate for Fury to lose, so Fury can be reduced to the level of being a loser like them and the others. Then there's the matter of Chisora being competitive with Whyte, so Whyte KO'ing Fury would, in an indirect way, make Chisora look better but that's tertiary as Chisora doesn't hesitate to pick unrelated fighters against Fury, even though Fury battering an AJ or Wilder makes Chisora look slightly better by extension. He's supremely bitter and jealous and loathes Fury deep down.

I honestly dont think there is that much to it. They are mates and all Chisora cares about is the money.

Missed this today, undercard press conference. Not that it is of much interest. Francis Warren taking the helm.

Man there are some right weirdo’s on boxing Twitter. Some people act like Matchroom is a football team they support and are so eager to talk about how the tickets haven’t really sold and how bad this will do on PPV. Totally brainwashed by ‘Earn.
Can’t they just look forward to and enjoy a fantastic heavyweight title fight?

100%. The dynamic is a very interesting psychosocial case study on the complexity and paradox of the human "friendship".
