Beating a 40 year old Wladmir, and cherry picking Wilder.

His resume is weak. Not even top 20 in greatness.

Agreed, it has the possibility of getting real interesting. This is a legit defense for Fury.

Hard to gauge what Whyte will bring but I suspect he's going to be worn down and stopped. That said I'd be surprised if he didn't have a moment or two in the fight when Fury is under pressure but he'll have to let them go for that. A McCall/Rahman style KO is possible for Whyte. See if Fury's retirement talk remains after that.

I hate fighters who talk non-stop crap.

So I am really rooting for Whyte!

    Reality check:

Whyte is worse at coming forward than Chisora. A style Fury deals with, with ease.
Whyte cannot out point Fury at distance

Whyte has to find some nice middle ground (by slipping shots, which he doesn't do) or hard counters.

How do you hard counter Fury's jab? or 1,2? or more specifically how does Whyte do it?

    Fury picks him apart.

Funny no, and in the long run bad for the division... I think Dillian would probably try and use it to make an AJ rematch, which is a fight I wouldn't mind seeing.

In some ways it's not that bad - I think Whyte's overconfidence in his ability would at least mean he'd get some decent fights made (and would lose at some point).

I don't think he's the goat and I think there's a few former greats like Ali, Holmes, Lennox Lewis, Tyson who may have beaten Tyson Fury.

I do also think he is a great fighter and on his night could any fighter a hard night in history.

I want Fury to win, but after his dads antics i wouldn't be bothered if Whyte ironed him out.

I would laugh my ass off! People calling Fury an ATG? Dude hasn't done anything except fight no hopesrs and waste time. Is he good, yes, could he beat all past ATG's yes. What has the man accomplished since being top dog. Fought Wilder 3 times. All other opponents were sub par at best.

Your spin is pathetic. If Fury went on to dominate Usyk it will be "he was a featherfisted cruiser who beat a mentally shot AJ and was past his best anyway". There's no pleasing morons.

Not as funny as some of the utterly delusional and even more absurd nonsense I'm seeing from the Errolsexuals right now. FTR Errol would get put to sleep by Jose Luis Lopez let alone the greats

Nothing would make me more happy that saying Whyte sprawled through the ropes again.

Who knows if Fury is really serious about retirement, but if he really is entertaining that idea that's another red flag for this fight
