And yet he didn't go down. That is hardly evidence of "chin issues". If anything it shows he has a good chin due to being nailed while off guard while looking for his mouth piece and thinking the ref had called a timeout (which does in fact happen in the pros sometimes not just sparring). If the only time in Spence's entire career where he looked like he might go down was when he was completely off guard and lost his mouth piece you don't have a very good argument.

You're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Everyone gets rocked. Hardly proof he has chin issues. He took bombs from Porter, Brook who both hit harder than Ugas. In case you forgot, he fought Garcia after the car crash and Garcia hits harder than Ugas as well and Garcia's power didn't bother Spence.

Let's says Spence was badly hurt. First of all, so what? Ugas is huge and can crack and he got caught by someone didn't see coming. Second, Spence had the balls to stand right in front of Ugas and continued going toe to toe with him at close quarters. He didn't block. He didn't even clinch. How many fighters today would actually fight back when hurt instead of clinching or covering up?

Spence was badly hurt from the uppercut that knocked out his mouthpiece and almost went down. You're being way too sensitive to me saying his chin is just okay. When we're talking about the top 10 welterweights of all time chins are a very important part.

What do you mean Spence had the balls to fight Ugas like that? That's how Spence fights certain fights. He's a pressure fighter who can also box when he chooses. He blocked plenty of shots. Spence has solid defense and blocking shots is part of it. Wtf are you even talking about?

I like Spence, but he has a lot more to prove before you can talk about him in any top 10 at WW. The division is as stacked as they come historically and he so far has only four wins over top opponents, two them being fairly competitive decision (although clear imo).

No one's being sensitive. You're being ridiculous. Spence was completely off guard and got nailed by multiple bombs to the face and didn't go down and somehow this is incriminating evidence against him...? Do you know how rare it is for a boxer to get caught by multiple shots they didn't see coming and remain on their feet? He has zero knockdowns in 28 fights. Look I get it, you want to take him down a peg by milking out the only time he looked vulnerable and bounced back immediately to break the eye sockets of his opponent.

Spence didn't have to fight back when he was hurt was the point I was making. He isn't some flat footed mindless brawler. He could have used lateral movement, covered up, or clinched and he did none of the above. He fought back. He even smiled. So how badly hurt do you think he was?

You're having a meltdown because I said a fighters chin is okay and not great. If Ugas has your legs all over the place (this happened before the mouthpiece went out) then you don't have a granite chin. That's all there is to it.

Spence thought his best chance of winning was to break Ugas down and he was correct, that's why he pressed forward while hurt. He's using lateral movement the whole fight dummy. Who said he's a mindless brawler? I said he's a top 10 welter of all time. You're so hurt about such a small comment, and I'm done talking about it.

There's no argument for having Spence that high at welterweight. Hopefully, this thread will be bumped when he loses to Crawford. Btw, I'll throw about twenty names out who would be favoured over Spence. Easily, and I won't even name anyone in my top ten.

    Pipino Cuevas
    Antonio Margarito
    Miguel Cotto
    Vernon Forrest
    Ike Quartey
    Benny Paret
    Marlon Starling
    Carlos Palomino
    Billy Graham
    Shane Mosley
    Donald Curry
    Wilfred Benitez
    Manny Pacquiao
    Pernell Whitaker
    Felix Trinidad
    Roberto Duran
    Floyd Mayweather Jr.
    Curtis Cokes
    Carmen Basilio
    Barney Ross

Prime against prime, and in no particular order, I would go with Mayweather, Armstrong, Leonard, Pacquiao, Napoles, De La Hoya, Trinidad, Robinson, Whitaker and Curry over Spence. I'm not saying those are the only ones, I just stopped when I hit ten. So, no, Spence is not top ten H2H at 147.

Crawfords right check hook will be the difference maker. Spence will be hit with it all night. That's how he will stop Spence from moving in. Tag him with the check hook and step around.

List 10 fighters with "average" chins who have zero knockdowns in their careers. I'll wait.

Spence wasn't using lateral movement for half the fight, he was mostly in the pocket. Did you just watch highlights...?

    Stopped reading at Margarito.

If you think the slow, flat footed, wide open target punching bag Margarito beats Spence you must have snorted alcohol and drunk cocaine.

A 100% Margarito, Before that enforced ludicrous 2 1/2 year suspension, would have destroyed Spence. They knew they couldn't beat him, but he was in the way so they railroaded him

Margarito was a slow, easy to hit guy even before the suspension. Target practice for Spence and wide open for those brutal uppercuts and body shots.

Spence either take a clear decision or stops Margarito late. The guy was a punching bag who won fights by simply lasting longer than the opponent.
