If Whyte does win it won't be Buster Douglas level shock but damn close.

You mean the same Cunningham he knocked out? It was a flash knockdown he recovered from very quickly. Wallin was just a bad stylistic match up, one that Fury still won.

Now let's compare how many times Fury has been knocked out compared to Whyte shall we? Oh wait.

It was a legitimate knockdown, a hard one too. And Furys facial expression said it all while he was still sitting on the canvas. My point is he got put down hard by a non puncher cruiserweight 90 KG 6 foot 3.

Whyte got KOd by AJ and Povetkin. Both hard hitting, well known punchers with heavy hands.

I don’t believe Rivas knocked down whyte, but even so Rivas is a hard hitting puncher, solid heavyweight.

Cool, and Whyte got sparked by a Povetkin that should of been in retirement. There's levels to this game son.

By the way, when Whyte gets absolutely clowned are you going to disappear for a couple of years?

Yeah there are levels to this game, Fury’s was getting smashed by a top 60 guy called Wallin when really that fight should have been stopped on account of the grotesque cut. Lord knows fights have been stopped for less.

I’ve made my peace with the possibility of Whyte losing on Saturday, have you made peace with the idea of Whyte KOing Fury?

    Better start now.

I don’t believe he was knocked down by a punch, more than he tripped over his own footing.

Maybe it's not as simple as x boxer took blows from y boxer who hits harder than z.

Wilders best power punch is the right cross while Whytes is the hook. Wilder prefers picking his shots like a pool player to set up one big nuclear right hand. Whyte is more of a slugger throwing lots of shots. Wilder has long arms and prefers long range while Whyte is best at close to mid range.

Fury beat Wilder in the 2nd and 3rd fights by pressuring him and making him fight on the back foot. He smothered Wilders punches and rarely gave him room to throw with good leverage or get his weight behind the blows. Wilder can't fight backing up, sucks on the inside, and has skinny legs so this was a great game plan. It probably won't work on the very stocky Whyte who has a lower center of gravity and is more than happy to engage with fury on the inside.

Better boxer, but Whyte is bringing more power and that bit of brut strength

I actually rate wallin and want to see him against whyte, ruiz, Parker etc

I think he holds his own with many top guys

Yep one guy who was battered by Fury and the other who bottled it twice to get out of fighting him.

43 out of 46 boxing writers at ringside of the 1964 Liston vs Clay title fight were sure that Sonny Liston would win, so "experts" are not infallible.

I however concur with the above and think if Fury is in shape mentally/physically he will prevail, if Fury is not in shape then favour Whyte to win, and hope he does. If a world champion or indeed challenger does not come to the fight in shape, then they deserve to not have title belts at the fights conclusion.

Yeah, I'm just sharing it because others will find it of interest. These ''expert'' polls are often very one-sided

Surprises me that a Whyteologist would forget this. Even I remember it clearly. He got nailed by a right uppercut with his back to the ropes.

Well, we all have our perspectives, I don’t feel the need to lie on this particular instance just calling it how I saw it. He has bad foot positioning, and was off-centre when Rivas landed a short uppercut. Whyte got up on good time, not phased, not dazed just accepted it was scored as a knockdown.

same way I feel about AJ losing balance here against Povetkin at 20:15 rather than Povetkin hurting or dazing AJ.

I concede for example that Parker had Whyte hurt in the 12th.
