How would Ruiz have fared against all of Mike`s title opponents during his first reign as champ?

He would have lost to most of them.

He doesn't fare well. Maybe he beats Berbick?

I doubt he'd even beat Berbick

Doubt Smith would respect Ruiz, he'd probably just go out and splatter him.

Against prime versions of them he probably loses to all of them, but you got to remember the 80s Heavyweights, were fat/lazy and had drug problems.

People like a fat Tony Tubbs, drug addict Pinklon Thomas, may get outhuslted by "The Quiet Man". Then you have a green Tyrell Biggs who is a much more talented fighter than Ruiz. But often didn't fight the right fight, and might get drawn into Ruiz's ugly kind of fight.

Also could you imagine the version of Bonecrusher in Tyson fight, fighting Ruiz ? That is a scary situation to think about.

Smith only fougt that way because he was scared of Tyson, Ruiz would be overpowered by Smith, if Bonecrusher could take Bruno`s shots and go onto stop him tyhen he could easily walk through Ruiz`s shots.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see him beat Biggs, Smith, Williams, Bruno, or Tubbs. I’m not saying he’d beat them all though.

He'd lose to most & struggle with all. He's not a clear favourite over any of them.

But Ruiz might make him fight ugly, Ruiz often made fighters more skillful or bigger than him fight his fight. And at times Bonecrusher could be outhuslted, the much smaller Marvis Fraizer outhuslted him.

I don't like Ruiz but he deserves some credit, he went 1-1-1. With a Holyfield who was fresh off giving a prime Lennox Lewis trouble in their 2nd fight.

He would lose decisions to most or all of them. His boring style would make for horrible viewing. Tucker vs Ruiz would be a tranquilizer.

I’m aware they fought in 1998. I was thinking more like 1987
