Because he was the WBC No1 contender in 2017 and should have got his shot against Wilder! Win, Lose or Draw he’d have made a Couple of £Million at least from that Title fight. Dyllion obviously believes he would have won that Title fight and if so it would have lead to 3 maybe 4 or 5 defences of the title and multiples of £Millions over the last 5 years Now, you, me, Deontay Wilder, Sulimain or anybody else can think that Wilder would beat Whyte but Whyte’s a fighter and he 100% believes in his heart he’d have KO’d Wilder and maybe he would have.
Because he had the opportunity to fight Wilder, become champion, and make millions in defences, taken away from him. Unless I'm mistaken, because every time he fought under the WBC banner as silver champion or whatever, he had to pay fees, which can amount to 3% of all revenue for an event.
Aye, he backed the wrong horse there. Timed-stamped for Sulaiman getting ghosted. This content is protected Might have been an idea for him to also take along the actual catholic to meet the Pope.
Whyte ducked Pulev in Bulgaria for an eliminator and got KO'd by Povetkin in an eliminator, then got a rematch so he wouldn't be eliminated. He also turned down a second fight with AJ. Not only has Whyte had ample chances, he and his promoter are EASILY as corrupt as this WBC boss. I repeat, Whyte was KO'd by Povetkin in an ELIMINATOR, then got an immediate rematch, meaning Povetkin had to beat him twice to get the title shot, while he only had to win once. That was one of the most corrupt episodes in recent times. Anyone defending Whyte, pretending he isn't corrupt, is just as delusional as Whyte himself.
I agree he should have fought Wilder much earlier. And made millions. I'm just saying he's making a ton of money today, probably more than if he had fought Wilder. He was definitely passed over but once Fury had that draw with Wilder people wanted to see more of Wilder-Fury than Wilder-Whyte.
Boxing is a nasty corrupt game. Whyte should suck it up. Fury got stripped 10 days after he won the IBF belt off Wlad.
I think the point is he kept chucking money at the WBC on the promise of getting the championship fight. He could have been in other lucrative bouts without having to keep lobbing money Sulaiman's way.
Good for him! I really hope whyte land’s something big tomorrow night to make this fight interesting. He has the tools too but fury may make this fight very long and boring
Facts. Everyone saying “Whyte had to wait 1000s of days” or “everyone was ducking Whyte” conveniently never mention that Whyte only actually became WBC mandatory after he beat a 42 year old Covid-infected shot Povetkin in a farce of a rematch, and the reason why he was not mandatory before then was because he declined to fight Pulev and declined to fight Ortiz (as well as declining a Joshua rematch which would have been the title shot he supposedly craved and was supposedly frozen out of).
Whyte fought his way up the WBC Rankings to become the No1 ranked contender for Wilders Title He was then passed over and never named the Mandatory which is just perverse
