It's funny, it might have gone unnoticed, but I've criticized Fury in finer detail than any of his detractors here. I bet coldly against fighters I have sentimental attachment to (made £6,000+ in one evening doing exactly that a month or so back). So, nah. Deny it all you want, but you and I both know you loathe Fury for making you feel like a clueless dolt time and again and would never be able to bring yourself to admit to having been categorically wrong about him, whatever he did. Your esteem, so far as this place goes, is pinned on his downfall.

If Fury were to lose legitimately, all you'll see me do is give full credit to the fighter who beat him, because that fighter would've earned it. I could give nothing else but credit, because I don't see anybody beating this guy, including everyone's favorite Ukrainian.

No, just the uno. The guy who has defied, defied and defied every expectation you had of him.

You did say you'd award credit if he went into the eye of the storm and took his man out a couple years ago. Then, when it came to pass, aside from some begrudging, mumbled acceptance, the tune remained the same.

Talking about your informedness, you've bungled any number of calls after having sworn that your superior understanding would be vindicated on the night (Taylor-Ramírez and Joshua-Usyk are just two recent, conspicuous examples).

:risunis:'Do you even know who I am?!?!'

Tell us, then. Impress the forum. Otherwise, nobody gives a damn who you are. You think anyone here is starstruck because you might've hung around some gyms for a few years? If I'm in a sweatbox days a week with guys who've achieved more in the game than even a bull**** merchant like you can pretend to have achieved behind a screen of anonymity, why am I supposed to afford you special respect because you allude to being somebody? World titlists have posted here. You're nobody. El gran campeón with a tuff Clint avatar. And anyway, how do you expect guys to be impressed when you belligerently predicate picks on your 'superior understanding' only for those picks to be proven greatly mistaken?

Only what I've seen with my two eyes.

What you are, @bumdeedo, is an incorrigible little *****. And that will never change.

Would it be funny if Fury was chinned, in a way i guess as the big underdog prevailed, so lot of folks predictions would have been wrong.

It sure would shake up things, Whyte having been side lined somewhat then would be the king of the castle.

If it happened, then be interesting to see if Fury lived up to his claim of being "a fighting man" and return to try and regain titles.

There's a part of me, a longtime supporter, that wants Fury to lose a fight so that he can check this box. Retiring undefeated is great if you've fought everybody significant there is to fight in your era (and I expect Fury will tick those names off), but there's really something to be said about redeeming a defeat.

Dillian Whyte is not a guy he should be losing to, however.

I have no issue with a fighter retiring undefeated as the champion, only the fighter themselves knows their mindset, their motivation and any injuries/health issues they carry.

I sure would rather champion said thank you and goodnight and exited stage left early, rather than going on too long and ending up slurring speech etc..

Dillian may not be the one that Fury should lose to, but i do think he is going to take Fury into some deeper waters than Fury has been in recently.

At end of day hoping we can say post fight, that the best man on the night won, there was no scoring/reffing controversies and what a great fight it was.

Fury getting knocked out would be the best thing for the sport, and it would also mean that Fury probably wouldn’t retire.

It would funny af, but i doubt it happens. Fury most likely gets a late stoppage here.

Who is the GOAT? That’s completely subjective. Some people say Ali, and I think that’s ridiculous. Some people think Floyd, and I think that’s even more ridiculous. What makes the GOAT, a resume? Then Pac is up there, Canelo is up there. Is it overcoming out of the ring adversity, character out of the ring? Usyk must be up there, and Fury must be up there after the way he came back. Hopkins for his career, and the longevity of it. Roy Jones for his pure talent.
You’re talking as if there’s some set criteria for this, a list of achievements that fighters need to meet. The topic of the ‘GOAT’ is even more silly than pound for pound. You can’t ridicule anyones opinion on it since it’s a ridiculous thing to consider in the first place. At the moment I doubt many or any in history could beat Fury, so that would be a very reasonable choice for the ‘GOAT’ (especially coupled with his fall and comeback, the 12th round of the first Wilder fight).

What you’re saying makes no sense. Kevin McBride beat Tyson. Look at who Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Lewis lost to, and the journeymen they struggled with at times. Even if Whyte knocks him out, it’s a non-sequitur to claim that it indicates anything about how he would do against old timer fighters who were tiny and completely different boxers. Some think Tyson is an ATG heavy and unbeatable in his prime, and that’s based almost purely on speculation since he doesn’t have the resume to suggest it. It’s very difficult to see how Fury doesn’t beat every previous heavyweight in history. His size and skill is as close to unbeatable as we have ever seen in a boxing ring. Due to his size, the idea that it only takes one punch in the heavyweight division almost doesn’t apply to him.

Good post but the last part where you the one punch does not apply to him is reaching a bit (excuse pun) , when Wilder (1st) fight knocked Fury down it was really a garzing punch , the 2nd on the way down was also a miss, had Wilder connected correctly I feel Fury would not have gotten up...not overly impressed with joshua but if Fury fights him I beleive Joshua has the one punch ability to KO Fury ...
