Im not being facetious when I suggest that US boxing fans have little interest in the fight because they don’t have a single decent dog in the HW division.

Yeah, I don't miss that! lol
It's actually quite decent watching the American cards at mid-day on a Sunday.

For me it's both. The obligatory big fight takeaway will be duly ordered and fully enjoyed along with the fight.

Agree mate that's the tradition my older brother and me had decades ago and I still honour today. got a decent stock of beer in and will phone my order through when they open. It seems like a long time since Fury v Wilder 3 and I feel starved of a decent Heavyweight scrap. This should fill that void and may the best man win.

I'm really looking forward to it too mate.

I've always had the takeaways on big fights. Years ago I used to have a few mates come around for a curry and beer night. All great fun and atmosphere.

I reckon it's gonna be a barnstormer tonight.
I'm rooting for Fury but like your self and most here, I'm more than happy for the best man to win .

    I want fireworks regardless.

Loved Japan. I went twice, 45 days each deployment, back in the early 90s and we crossed trained the Japanese Ground Defense units.

Picked up lots of good stuff, had meals at the home of senior officers with their families.

Or could it just be that British boxing isn't a big deal here? I seriously recall a couple of months ago 2 extremely washed up and completely irrelevant welterweights by the name of Brook and Khan fighting. I can assure you that next to no one cared about it in the U.S. , but in the U.K. you guys treated it like it was the world cup.

    Well, no, we didn’t really!

There was interest because of the history but no one thought it was a big deal.
