    The ref need to protect the fighter.

    Ball threw Lowe on to the ropes and the ref should have intervened right there.

    Don't think I'd seen Ball before but my gut was telling me he was going to win just from his body type and language and that was confirmed when I saw him throw a few of those lovely compact old school hooker hooks.

    Ball connects with a push that sends Lowe partially outside of the ropes. He tries to re-enter with one arm still outside and gets absolutely clocked. Then Lowe is left staring at the ref wondering why there was no break and gets clocked again. The towel is then thrown in. Wth was that??

    I understand the controversy....but without them being tied up...I think the ref did the right thing by not steppin in.
