Vitali got his face slashed by an old fat man.
    Pizza face all day.
His biggest win is a loss.

He’d have had to have gone to war again.

Vitali would have made him go to war and he definitely would have gone in there more motivated, more confident and with a point to prove.

In order for Lennox to have won again, he’d have had to gone back into the trenches.

He obviously didn’t want to do that again, yet he’d have been more than happy to have used Mike as a punching bag again. Money for nothing. Huge money for nothing.

Just to clarify, I have no issue with Lennox retiring when he did.

I’m just pointing out that he did go back on his word and duck a rematch.

Yet that old fat man would suddenly have beaten him even easier, even though he’d have been older and he barely beat him the first time?

    Perfectly logical.

Vitali’s glass skin is not made to face The Pugilist Specialist who would have slashed his fsce like Zorro.
His skin wasnt made for all time greatness.

Easy to say when your guy is grazing with the glove while holding Vits around the neck with the worst referee in hw history watching it.

Again I understand where you are coming from having said that it was Lennox who took it into the trenches in the first fight and stopping Vitali. Also the same goes for Lewis going in more prepared and focussed he always did with the perceived threats. I do think Lennox underestimated Vitali first time round despite it being a late replacement for both fighters. The absolute reality though is Vitali's best and only chance in hindsight was that first fight and he couldn't beat an overweight unmotivated version of Lewis. That's just the way it is and how it happened we can go in circles all night but neither is going to persuade the other. I think on many things we agree with each other regarding other topics. On this occasion we see it differently and that's fine it would be boring if we all agreed with each other all the time.

    The reality is:

Lennox was slumped on his stool at the end of 6th round, completely exhausted.

If he’d have been as confident as you, he’d have rematched Vitali and beaten him again. But the fact is, he wasn’t and he didn’t.

I’ve told you that I have no issue with this.

    I’m not emotionally involved.

    We’ll leave it there.

What do you think will happen later tonight?

I like Whyte and in the context of today’s division he’s correctly rated as a top 5 HW but overall he’s a very flawed fighter.
I dont see how he beats Fury.Probably gets knocked out late as his stamina fails him again.

No doubt Vitali would have entered a rematch knowing and feeling all those things.
Right up to the point where a better prepared and more focused Lewis Knocked him spark out!

Playing amateur psychologist doesn't interest me, just like when the Tyson haters say he couldn't beat anyone that faught back and wasn't scared and all that baloney. When you have to make assumptions about a fighters' mindset then you have a weak argument.

It's like when Floyd haters say Margarito would've beaten him because he was SCARED lol.

    Lewis was done.

Look at how he slumped on his stool in the last round.

Nothing could change the fact that he was past his best.

Lewis wasn’t sparking anybody out at that stage.

Being better focused wasn’t affecting his ability in the way he’d have needed it to in order to have beaten Vitali.

It’s just silly claiming he’d have knocked him out, when the reality is: Everybody wanted a rematch and Lennox wouldn’t give him one after barely beating him in their first fight.
