Boone versus Ibar would have sold out any arena in the Seattle area and resulted in their biggest paydays ever.

Boone was pretty lean as it is, but if he could get down to Cruiserweight, how would he do today?

A great post! Boone beat a still contending Jimmy Ellis in a great fight and Jimmy beat Quarry and Patterson, thats how good Boone really was. You can't judge him by the Foreman fight, Big George was Big George.

Why do the C, B and D rated HWs get so much attention? Fringe guys and non-factors get more love then Willie Pep... travesty!

I actually love talking about a fighter like this. The shining stars have been done to death. Talk to me about a Lou Nova, a Jesus Pimental or a Curtis Parker and I'm there.

Nothing wrong at all, I just don't get how C-rated guys like Williams and the like get nine thousand threads.

Boone Kirkman has nine thousand threads?

I personally think it would be cool as **** to have 9,000 different "C-level" fighter threads. The more the better.

You know surely that's not what I meant. I was trying to say it's silly how threads for the Non-factors in history show up all time at HW and pretty much every division below lightweight is a ghost town when it comes to threads, LW besides a few A-listers is more of the same too.

I will now shower this forum with Curtis Parker threads.

    You brought this on yourself.

Oh man, I’d be a happy camper. Throw in Orlando Zulueta, Nel Tarleton and Indian Red Lopez and you’ll have made my day.

I always wanted to see the fight between Holmes and Ibar the Sailor Man.

    Wish it would surface somewhere.

There’s been a dozen Willie Pep threads for every Sandy Saddler discussion.

    *THAT* is a travesty.
