You'll get no argument from me. What a waste of 80 bucks. The undercard was **** as well.

Oh stop it. Don't you know Tyson Fury is the ATG HW champ, he walks on water, flies like a bird, and sings like an angel? According to some on this site, anyway.

I am so glad I didn’t buy this PPV. Haven’t watched the fight yet so have no opinion, but not surprised.

I think Whyte was a top 6-7 HW so in my book a fringe contender. Would put him on a par with Parker and a step down from a prime Povetkin.

Whyte looked like he was taking a dive half the time today. His punches to the head missed by a mile. Poor performance. To Fury’s credit his punches were pretty accurate

He earned his shot. Can't deny that.

Overrated? Definitely. But Tyson is also very good, a clear level above anyone in the division not named Usyk.

Whyte also looked like he was overawed by the occasion, which can never help your ability to execute. I don't see him dropping out of the top ten based on this fight alone. But jeez, his chin looks shot to sh**, and this is the third time he's been KOed brutally by an uppercut (might have been four if Rivas had had a touch more pop). He's going to have to steer clear of a lot of prospects and up and comers if he wants to remain relevant, though I'd still back him against the likes of Ruiz providing he's not mentally done in by this fight.

After a night on the town and several industrial strength vindaloos maybe.

    Not a pleasant image.

Hes always been a good contender .. just not among the elite.. lost to Joshua when both of them were fairly green and it was a hell of a fight… then went on to beat Helenius, Browne, Parker, Rivas, Chisora etc.. that is more than a solid run of opposition… was then KO'd by Povetkin, but people forget he was beating the snot out of the Russian prior to that and just got caught with an exceptional shot… It happens it's heavyweight boxing.. the old dude got back in the ring with him and then got starched.. I wouldn't call him the most overrated heavyweight of the millennium because most people realise what he is and don't really overrate him other than a couple of tools on here LOL

Good post, and to be honest I think the majority who have been supporting Whyte getting his shot, were always realistic about his chances against Fury.

Well I can't speak for every poster. But the majority were. What was interesting is that he seemed to be getting a lot of general support across social media. I kept seeing votes almost split down the middle on who would win. Which really surprised me. Think a lot of hearts leading heads there. But that's what sport is about isn't it

By the end of the day, I am glad he never was a champion and never will be.

"I just want violence!" Dillian Whyte

Makes me laugh every time he wants max violence, he gets brutally knocked out lmao

The only people who ever rated Whyte were the idiots who don't think for themselves and defer to Eddie Hearn and the media hype.
Whyte is a decent UK fighter but not world level.
Anyone who thought he stood a chance against Wilder, nevermind Fury, was a fool.

Never been a huge Whyte fan but I’d hardly say he’s overrated. He does a lot of stuff really well.
