Joyce vs Parker

Great match up I think Joyce stops him in 8.

 

Parker looked much better in his last fight but I have to favour Joyce - probably heart ruling brain here but a good fight to watch with uncertain outcome.

 

Parker on points. I think Joyce is just too easy to hit and Parker will pick up enough rounds. Don’t see either man getting badly hurt.

 

I agree with this but if Parker has a poor training camp (which does happen) then he will get stopped late as Joyce has a great engine.

 

It's a really tough one to call. If Joyce can get his jab going again then he will cause Parker problems as he steps in. Will be interesting to see what Parker looks like after a other camp with Lee

 

Last night Joyce looked huge stood alongside Parker - Joyce points for me

 

Joyce is a ****in unit, weighs similar to Tyson but solid rather than flab. I've got Parker in this if he's got the stamina to go 12 rounds with the extra weight he's put on under Lee.

 

Good 50/50 fight for the division and the right fight to make from a fans perspective. I give Parker a slight edge in that he has been sparring Fury who is much bigger and faster than Joyce. I expect an ugly probably quite boring slugfest with a close Parker SD.

 

This is a cracking fight. Parker is sitting down on his shots a lot more now and he has that big fight experience where he knows what it's like to 'not do enough' as daft as that sounds.

Joyce is a much bigger lad, great jab, great durability. His footwork is slow but he can still throw heavy hands even when his feet are not set. If he boxes like he did against DD then I don't see how Parker has much success getting in on the inside to land that right hand without accumulative damage. Joyce will win this imo.

 

Parker will have success in the early rounds but by round 8 or 9 gets smothered and wont recover

 

Joyce blocks shots with his face for fun. He really needs to at least try and sort that out.
I can’t see Parker troubling him other than that. Joyce is throws his shots relentlessly for the weight and has a huge size advantage which will tire Parker in clinches. Joyce ko for me.

 

Parker struggled with whyteleafe-Joshua-Ruiz-chisora level guys, Joyce a cut above to my acute eye.

Decent fight Joyce did seem massive in comparison to Parker last night . I probably would slightly lean to a Joyce win but Parker does seem to have improved under Lee and if he can keep fast for 12 rounds he could do it .

 

I don't think I have been more exited by a Heavyweight fight for years. Two genuine elite level guys and a great match up in terms of styles. Both durable and tough with great engines.
I voted for Joyce but believe me, there's no money on it.
