That would be a really easy fight for Fury. Usyk has very few paths to victory. He’d be on the end of Fury’s jab, be completely backed up, and have no offensive attacking strategies. We aren’t talking about a Bob and weave explosive talent like Mike Tyson. That is what you’d think people are talking about with Usyk. I hope the fight does happen, Usyk doesn’t stand a prayer. Joshua is a better stylistic match up against Fury.
Who knows. Fury has a great boxing brain to go with his size advantage that he knows how to use unlike Joshua. . Its hard to call. Id like to see it but its probably never going to happen
Throating Usyk to the root is okay, though. Not to say anyone here does that (Usyk's boys are all paragons of rational, well-adjusted, balanced support, of course). But it would be totally bearable if they did.
I was about to say the samething but you beat me to it, yes Whyte landed one good punch that rocked Joshua. But in every other round was soundly beaten and brutally KO'ed. It's like saying Razor Ruddock gave Mike Tyson hell in their 1st fight, because of one good moment in the 6th round.
Yes I agree with the points you made about Usyk but many claimed he wasn't big enough to do well at heavyweight because of these fights I thought he'd beat AJ now he has he's regarded unbeatable by many of these same people who wrote him off. If Chisora could use size and physicality to cause Usyk problems Fury can do it better. He chose to approach this fight with Whyte in a certain way and it worked.
Hybrid of a far superior version of southpaw Ottomatic/far superior and slicker CW Level Cunningham with the speed and footwork to cause Big Tyson Fury nightmares.
Fury would beat Usyk 9-3 if they ever face each other. Fury is too big, too long, and too mobile. Usyk will have some success here and there, but when he're giving up that many advantages against someone as good as Fury, he won't have a lot of success getting inside. This is not a 1-to-1 match up where everything being equal. If they were equal size, Usyk would win, but Fury has 50 lbs, 5 inches in height and 7 inches in reach. Does anyone really think that Fury is going to stay in range against Usyk? You must be crazy. Fury will use every advantage he has and beat Usyk and people would be shock at how easily he could do it.
At this moment in time it's a pick-em fight for me. I just don't know. I can see ways for both fighters to win and to lose. I'll wait and see how the Usyk/AJ rematch goes before committing further. All things being equal I'm expecting Usyk to win this. I'm expecting it to be another boxing masterclass only this time Usyk stops AJ.
Wilder 3 he was much less prepared than Wilder 2 which I consider his peak condition. When Wilder caught him with big shots you could literally see the shock wave ripple through his fat layer.
