Yes as someone clueless or crazy enough to pick Whyte to KO Fury you have no credibility to risk losing. Probably you just joking.
Never got a call wrong? I've called underdogs right in the past - Joyce over Dubois (most of the forum picked Dubois) and Groves against Eubank JR.
Those were considered live underdogs. Whyte was clearly levels below Fury since forever. Yes, maybe 1% puncher chance. I've read your posting. You seem to have a bad thing against Fury and maybe Wilder. That is okay. Every different opinion counts.
After careful consideration and an expensive consultation with a Shaman expert in these matters I've come to realise that Paper Wilder that people start threads like this about is a different guy to the one I see in the ring. Paper Wilder is easily the second best fighter in the world, second only to Fury who only withstands his mighty blows because he's actually Thor in disguise. Earthquakes, supernova, and galactic conflagarations light years hence all ensue when Paper Wilder throws his blows. We are lucky that the effects will only reach Earth Billions of years from now when they will unleash Ragnarok itself. Boring old real world Wilder (definitely no relation) on the other hand, is a rudimentary boxer with some power who has been extremely carefully matched throughout his career with the objective of maximising reward whilst minimising risk. A policy that only erred once to devastating effect when his matchmakers mistook Fury's uncoordinated shambolic performance against Seferi as reflecting a permanent diminishment of his talent. So with this insight in mind, sure I agree. Paper Wilder is a fantastic boxer and has legendary power. It's ridiculous to think that Usyk or Joshua could withstand his blows, any more than they could beat Hulk, Iron Man etc.
Wilder almost KO Fury two times. Fury got up just at 9. If Fury is number 1, it is fair to think Wilder is near the top of division too. Wilder of last Fury fight would KO everyone except Fury and Usyk is fair prediction.
No he isn’t and all the hypothetical bollox to put him there doesn’t wash.at the end of the day who has he beat..Ortiz as you’re best wins in a career going on 15 years or thereabouts is decent and nothing more.
It depends entirely on how you frame those encounters. One could just as easily say that any self respecting elite HW should've been able to cope with the Fury that showed up in LA, let alone one with all the home privilege that Wilder enjoyed. That was a robbery btw Fury thoroughly outboxed and exposed Wilder in that first fight. The second fight was a brutal beat down that utterly undermined all the criticism from the first bout. Wilder was monstered, dismantled, rag-dolled, take your pick. It wasn't even competitive. Rarely do you see such a one sided event at world level. The third fight I thought Wilder showed bravery, a good chin, heart, but still lacking in fundamentals and ultimately soundly beaten by an opponent who wasn't in the best shape for various reasons. Across the entirety of their encounters the biggest takeaway is that even the one supposed world class attribute of Wilder, his right, proved to be insufficient to decide the fight against an elite opponent. Unfortunately, such is Wilder's resume that all of the claims made about him lack supporting evidence. He's stepped up when? He has a decent points win against Stiverne who went on to do nothing and the two Ortiz bouts where he was given a boxing lesson by a past prime guy who has no elite wins himself and got out of jail only via the right. It's smoke and mirrors.
Yes but all the heavyweight fighters have weak records. How many "elite" are there really then? Like if Fury is #1 then Wilder must be very near top. If Ortiz is top 10, Wilder must be quite near top. Twice he KO Ortiz, twice he had Fury down for 9 counts with brutal punch. Wilder knocked out some dismal challengers but AJ was knocked by Ruiz who struggles with old Arreola too. Whyte was only 50% record against old Povetkin. So can't fault Wilder for two wins with Ortiz. I don't know if Wilder is number 2 but he's among the top 4 fairly.
Fury explained why he chose to fight Wilder on the front foot in an interview, stating that if you try to box him for 12 he will catch you eventually so it's pointless and also very dangerous. In the second fight Fury went out and demolished him before he had a chance to land anything. He didn't want to fight him a third time, in fact it had to go to court and he was left needing to do again what he achieved in the 2nd fight, a very brave tactic to employ and I do not think others have the same balls to do this against Wilder after tasting that legit spaghetti leg power. Wilder himself stated that he has no interest in boxing or winning rounds, his only tactic is to land a punch.
Your right. I'm not suggesting technically that Wilder is even close to AJ, let alone Usyk. But if he lands that one shot, as he does (it's just that Fury has super powers of recovery) then your done for, regardless of how many rounds you have won.
Was laughing when pundits said to only give Dillian a punchers chance v Fury is totally disrespectful. It wasn't, as that's all he ever had.
Do you seriously think someone as slow as Whyte could avoid Wilder? Also; why did Wilder give Fury so much more trouble than Whyte did?
