Don't disagree. But my point was why it would be different with Fury v Usyk. Fury would impose his size on fight and would not be out jabbed by Usyk.
There is no trainer and no circumstances where Whyte beats Fury. Huge gap in levels and that was obvious. Just before the fight loads of people started picking Whyte. Happens every time Fury fights. Fury's body looks atrocious. He has a rubber ring of dead skin and I think that gets people every time. They see him weighing in and think this is the time when it finally all catches up with Tyson. However, as of yet, it still hasn't affected him other than his appearance. He's boxing better than ever, even though he was more athletic before he went off the rails. He took zero punishment against Whyte and cruised to victory so he has at least one more top level performance in him. Let's hope that's for the undisputed match. That's all I ask of the man now and after such an easy night, I'm sure he'll be up for it in a few months time.
I was getting ridiculed for saying that Whyte wouldn't stand a chance. "It only takes one punch" And all that jazz.. "If Whyte lands the left hook it's curtains for Fury". You're right in saying that a lot of people expect Fury to lose before fights. I've called it wrong so many times but never with Fury. He always gets the job done.
I’m under no illusion that he will carry on, but even his supporters must. at last, see what he is capable of. Fury had nothing to beat, it was a mismatch, and many said this on threads months ago. All that training in Portugal, yet gassed in the third round! At least his PPV days are over…..or are they?
I remember when this fight was first announced and Fury saying that he was going to come in at over 300lbs. Obviously everyone laughed it off as just Fury being Fury. But looking at them in the ring on Saturday night and Fury could have actually done that and still had a bit spare in terms of the gulf in speed, movement and agility.
No way. Him against AJ is still a big fight here, not as big as they had hoped but it will still sell. Whyte v Fury reminded me a little of Goram v Dubois in the way that one of the fighters had put far too much stock in sparring session from years ago only to realise quickly this isn't the same fighter.
Of course Usyk skills won the fight. But Joshua never imposed his size. Fury, like Usyk has a much better boxing IQ than AJ and he would. I love watching Usyk fight fore he is an ATG, but everyone knows AJ never fought the right fight. Might not have won anyway, but Fury is bigger, stronger and has more ability than AJ.
Dillian just been on Sky Sports News,he's blaming the ref now saying that Fury could have been disqualified for pushing him over. He reckons the punch only buzzed him but he hit his head on the canvas following the push. Deluded.
I wonder if him and Wilder are friends now. They have Zoom meeting to share ideas for excuses. I won't be surprised if Eddie Hearn jumps on this 'referee was bad' story.
I think Dillian really hurt his brand with this fight and the build up. If he was to turn up to the initial press conference and warmed up the public, maybe even use the antics that he used in previous pressers, he would still hold favour with the British public. Because he robbed us of a build up and his silence until 2 weeks before fight week was deafening plus he was emphatically beat and outclassed by Fury I think he's caused irreparable damage to his brand. If Whyte was to headline a PPV I certainly wouldn't be supporting it.
He provided 0 entertainment to the fans in the build up. Managed to not land a glove on Fury for 17m59s. Then get punched really hard in the jaw. With all the respect in the world I could have done that
