No it's more to do with Physiology - Fury has very slow twitch muscles and pretty much lacks the fast twitch muscles which is prevalant muscular boxers like AJ or Mike Tyson have. People with fast twitch muscle are fast and explosive however they have a faster lactic acid build up and VO2Max inferior to people with slower twitch like Fury. They will tire out in the later rounds at a much faster rate. Fury is more like an Gazelle or Ostrich which can run for ages while the fast twitch guys are your typical big cats who tire after a short burst. Fury can lift weights all day and eat all the protein and extra calories he likes but he wont back any muscle just fat . Whereas AJ can pack muscle very quickly - so much that many will think he is on roids. The only way Fury puts on muscle is if he is on some very serious roid cycle and even then the moment he comes of it he will lose it all.

He sems to be slightly shorter than David Price, who is listed as 6ft 8, so probably 6ft 7 seems about right for his max height.

Earlier in his career he was listed as 6ft 7 so why then would he suddenly be 2 inches taller? Human Growth Hormone? :p

He's just a very good natural boxer who has been doing it for most of his life. You get gud if you put that amount of effort into it. He isn't heavily muscled so that explains his great stamina - he is built for endurance rather than power.

I personally think that the Klitschko's, Lewis and AJ are all more genetically gifted than him. Vitali for his 50th birthday doing 50 consecutive pull ups - for a 250 pound man of any age that is exceptional.

Yes, he sets a high work rate, he throws a lot of punches, well above the average for a heavyweight.

He has very high kinesthetic intelligence. He takes bits and pieces from Ali and makes it into his own style.

Tyson Fury has an outstanding footwork for a boxer of his weight and size (he has both handspeed and other qualities).
If I suspected anyone of genetic engineering, it would be a boxer who at 19 would become a world heavyweight champion in professional boxing (breaking Mike Tyson's record; becoming a champion at 20).

Not as much as some would think. Fury is bigger and will know how to clinch and tie up Joyce to take away his work rate. Joyce himself has never added that aspect of the game to his repertoire so when Fury does clinch him he won't be able to prevent it from happening or impose himself in the clinches.

If Joyce had learned to use his size to control opponents like Fury has then I think he'd then become a much more dangerous fighter and would then be a serious threat to Fury but without that aspect of the craft he'll just end up being frustrated for much of the fight as his greatest strength is taken away from him.

When he was younger he had the remarkable ability to be gangly and fat at the same time.

    Now he is just fat.

Not that good, British domestic level. Good enough to beat Scott Welch the first time and was British champion for a while but was never going to be much more than that.

His head movement/upper body movement is insane for his size, you never see a 6'7 guy being able to dodge shots like that.
