he didn't look anywhere near that impressive against Joseph Parker of all people, he didn't look that great against Rivas, He looked bad against Wach (i understand that was a short notice fight but still) and don't think he looked that great against Chisora (although he got the KO in the 2nd)..i think the first fight was a 50/50

Lucas Browne was like his last great performance. I don’t know why many people thought he had a shot against Fury?

When the UK hype machine was behind him and he was going to be a marquee fight for AJ.

He is a decent top 10 contender, but AJ and Povetkin shattered his glass.

No matter what people say, AJ took his soul. He took a HUGE beating in that fight.

8 years ago when Whyte was 25. If he lost his soul back then he would have got Sparko'd more times. He lost his soul forever when Covid stole it off Povetkin.

He was never a great fighter but lets not take anything away from him. He fought some good opposition and earned his shot. He came up short but he earned the right to have a go.

Both he and joshua were at their best when they fought.

He had a bum shoulder when he fought Joshua.
    Hardly at his best.

More vg than great. Interesting to see what he does next. He doesn't have the fan base to just beat a couple of has beens or journeyman and expect another shot. He's going to have to earn it.

Great? Never. But he's been a solid contender for years now.

Aside from Usyk, Fury and AJ he's probably the next best HW.

I never thought he was a great fighter. He was a decent big man with power, with a willingness to fight the best. But he just wasnt in that top tier to me.

He looked crude even when he clubbed Povetkin into submission.

Looping right swing. Pause. Looping right swing. Pause. Looping...
