He's never going to win a world title as long as fury or usyk have the belts and He's not a fan favourite like chisora to just be an entertainer so what's he realistically going to do ? He's 34 and no doubt on the decline from here, his punch resistance has already gone. I can't see a fight out there for him that anyone will be interested in watching? If he shouldn't retire ( which let's face it he won't) where does he go from here ?
Winner of Ortiz v Ruiz Maybe Wilder would see him as a soft touch for a comeback. If AJ wins and even if he loses Whyte can always get that work (AJ's words) He has options
He should as he is a multi-millionaire with plenty of PPV Loot. Don't think he will as the Dull Boy Chisora role comes up after he gets planted in his next fight - plenty of easy PPV Loot for War Whyte
It took him 4 rounds to get a Covid ruined already ageing and post PED bust Povetkin out of there, a Povetkin that looked like he was struggling during the ring walk and clearly just there for the payday. That was after the ageing and seriously declined Povetkin had iced him out. Whyte has been on the decline for sometime, it's a rubbish opponent for Fury to bow out fighting and I can't see where Whyte goes from here other than getting a little richer while adding stoppage defeats to his resume. Too easy to hit Too slow Too telegraphed in everything he does Too sloppy It's over
Nah there is still money for him to make. They could easily do a third fight with Chisora and if AJ loses to Usyk again he could get a rematch with AJ. All Hearn needs to do is bring him back with and easy KO win and he is right back in the mix for the Matchroom casuals.
I expect him to fight on Sky. If Hughie Fury fights Hunter next and wins, do not be surprised to see H Fury v Whyte PPV at the back end of year/ early next year.
Why should he, when he has Chisora 3 or AJ 2 on PPV for millions? He just needs a nice couple of KO wins over stiffs and Matchroom FC will be buzzing again. They will be desperate to schlong their cash on another Whyte fight.
After his hiding away before the fight, and giving delusional people hope that he was going to ko fury yet puts in the most pathetic challenge ever for the richest prize in sport, yeah he should take his none earned money and **** off now, anybody that is willing to pay to watch him again should **** off with him...
Joshua rematch would be huge. As would Wilder. As would Ruiz. Parker potentially. That's what? 10 or so million at least?
If AJ loses to Usyk. I expect both to come back in a comeback fight and then AJ vs Whyte 2 summer 2023. If AJ wins then it will be AJ vs Fury and at that point Whyte vs Wilder or Usyk makes the most sense. But will still be tough to make the money work with all coming off losses.
Yeah I think the biggest thing is how telegraphed his punches are, you can see them coming a mile away. It was easy work for Fury really. With the exception of Fury's quality uppercut, Fury wasn't by any means great but he didn't have to be. It was more about how poor Whyte performed.
