Didnt look like he banged his head, guess its possible the landing made it worse and if he didnt shove him he might have been able to clinch and see out the round so i can see why he might be frustrated but we will never know and lets face it he was getting totally outclassed and had no chance of winning the fight.

Not the most creative excuse, not quite as bad as David Haye and his 'toe' or Wilder and his whole encyclopedia of excuses.

Fury was obviously a heavy favourite for a reason and I never had any doubts about the winner on Saturday but I was still shocked by quite how bad Dillian was.

His feet were shocking for a heavyweight fighting at this level, and for a man that has been training since January and spent small fortunes on a elaborate and top of the line set up in Portugal he was tired by end of round 3 and clearly in trouble stamina wise.

His balance is awful (still capable of swinging himself nearly to the floor) and to me it seemed he had gone backwards from his days with Mark Tibbs. He seemed to land a handful of decent body shots and that was about it.

I also thought he didn't cope with the occasion that well and was in two minds on what approach to take for large periods in the fight. Consequently he didn't put any sort of sustained pressure together. Fury was jabbing him into oblivion more or less from the start.

Hard to say where this leaves him in terms of his commercial value. Getting knocked out twice in 3 fights is not a record you would be proud of. If/when Fury and AJ/Usyk fight each other again he becomes largely irrelevant. He's not part of that conversation in any way. I think a Dubois or Hrgovic or Joyce would absolutely destroy him at this stage and end his career so nowhere for him to go in terms of title fights it seems.

In fairness, a broken toe would inhibit explosivness is a VERY big way. Not to say he was telling the truth, but it sounds like a joke but isn't when you get one.

See Hearn reckons Whyte made Fury really uncomfortable during the fight haha. Though he conceded Whyte might have only won 1 round at most (personally I gave Fury every round).
