The best version of Smokin Joe vs the Wladi Fury and the Wilder 2 Fury.

Ppl discuss right now on many places how Fury would have done against some all time greats, especially from the 70s.

For some reasons - and ppl may hate me - i was shaking my head when Colin Hart said not long ago Fury would loose agains Frazier.
Yes, he would loose against other all time Greats, but really against Smokin Joe?

Frazier doenst have the two sided KO power like Iron Mike, and Fury would only need to focus on Frazier s left hook, not so much on his right hand. And Fury is so much bigger, longer but also very fast and agile.

Sure Frazier had this unbelievable heart, he would never quit, but could or would he beat Fury?

I think especially the Wlad Fury would be a huge problem for him.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. There's no way Fury is going to lug his 265 pound carcass around Joe Frazier for 15 rounds. He doesn't have the power to keep Joe down even if he got a KD, and Joe would make him fight every second for every round. When Fury's gas gauge registers empty after the 11th round he'll try to hold and grab and smother Joe to no avail. A hook drops Fury in the 13th and the ref has seen enough and call's it off.

Pretty much how I see it, except Fury would make it to the last bell.

I understand your position, but why do you think Fury will be an active fighter in rounds 13,14,?and 15. He has had stamina problems in todays slow paced fights

The OP never said it was 15 rounds but if it was yes it would get harder for Fury. If Fury fights like he did against Wladimir or Wilder in the first fight he won't get gassed as he didn't throw much while of course Frazier would work more than Wladimir or Wilder did which in turn would force Fury to fight more but even then for the Wladimir fight Fury was lighter and would still be able to make it ugly and messy when Frazier gets close by holding, pushing, leaning etc I believe Fury could knock Frazier down too.

    Yep.

Frazier goes through some sticky moments in the first 5 rounds. By the eighth Fury is starting to get knocked around a lot. I really have trouble seeing Tyson make it 10.

    Lets say two scenarios:

    1) 15 rounds like in the 70s

    2) 12 rounds like today

I think Fury could last 15 if he comes in the best possible shape he could get into, but his ribs are gonna be reeeeaaaal sore.

I think either way Fury wins, realistically Frazier will have a hard time landing on Fury's chin with the height difference and defense of Fury, I don't see Frazier dropping Fury either as everyone who ever knocked down Fury did it with the right hand not a left hook. Will Fury's body take a beating? Yes but will Fury stay against the ropes and cover up while Frazier goes to work? No as he will be constantly be moving or tying up Frazier.

Frazier stands no chance whatsoever, he's puny compared to Fury and he will get KOd or badly outpointed.
Fury can simply tie him up when he gets up close. If Frazier was affected by Ali leaning on him, imagine Fury doing the same.

Frazier’s puny compared to Frazier? They look about the same to me

You’d always have to give an all time great like joe a chance. But in truth he’d have a lot of size to contend with in Fury. And Fury isn’t just some big thug who doesn’t know how to box. He has pretty good skills along with a sturdy chin and stamina to go the distance. Again I wouldn’t count out Frazier but I don’t have enough confidence to bet money on him either.
