Bah. Holyfield's prolific siring would have produced elite athletes just by the law of averages.

I was curious, and a cursory Googling revealed that Rocky apparently had two children. His son, Rocco "Kevin" Marchegiano, seems to have been adopted. His daughter had drug problems, and basically turned to crime. So I'm not surprised we didn't see any little Marcianos dominating the 80s and 90s.

Marciano by Late KO. He can’t keep that pace and gets sloppy in a war. His heart may not make it with all the roid abuse.

I'd favor Holyfield but only 55/45. Would be a great watch.

I’d probably favor Rocky at that stage but it would be a hellacious fight for both men. Lots of blood and swelling.

Fight of the fittest...and who was more fit than Marciano?

I have my doubts that Holyfield could take this at that stage in his career. He would probably try to box Marciano, and that would be a mistake against the brutal pressure fighter that was Marciano. He would need to fight Marciano in a similar way as when he fought Mike Tyson, but I don't think Holyfield had that degree of fighting in him yet, 18 fights into his career. Maybe he could pull it off, but I wouldn't bet on it.

As I saw the initial comment about 'siring exceptional athletes', I was hoping nobody else had made this point so I could.

I was going to go down the 'broken clock's right twice a day' route so I'm glad you beat me to the punch(line). 'Prolific siring' is the perfect euphemism for Evander's swordsmanship. Well done, you.

There should be a formula where how long ago a fighter was it favor them more than the more recent. I think Evander and Marciano would be a war. Similar to Holyfield vs. Qawi..
