May twenty-first at Accra Sports Stadium on the Tevin Farmer vs. Mickey Bey Jr. undercard. Ten rounds at featherweight.

Dogboe, the former WBO super bantam titlist, is on a solid run of rebuilding since his consecutive losses to Emanuel Navarrete. Lagos is on the surface the weakest of his four comeback opponents so far, and certainly a step down from Pitufo at least - but on a good night he, in true Filipino journeyman form, is a tough out for anybody.

...and my understanding is that Dogboe actually didn't look too hot or convincingly earn the nod over Díaz, is that right? Lagos meanwhile almost upset the last unbeaten prospect he faced, Mike Magnesi (the Italian surviving a 1st round knockdown to score a TKO3) and his stoppage of Emilio Sanchez four years ago remains one of my most viewed and popular uploads on YouTube at 43k, with people still commenting on it almost monthly. :deal:

I mean, I've done a couple, yeah. Wouldn't exactly say it's my niche, though; other channels specialize in that and have far more comprehensive libraries and don't have all other manner of non boxing related nonsense on theirs. :sisi1

@CST80 any faith in Rambo pulling it off in the face of at least better-funded if not also (debatably) superior firepower? IIRC your impression of Dogboe is in the toilet, saying he actually ought to be 1-4 in the last nearly half-decade, with just the lone deserved victory over a tattered Chris Avalos?

They have a notable common opponent in César Juárez - in fact, "El Corazón” had just kayoed Lagos in his previous fight before Dogboe stopped him - but the Pinoy is more of a natural FW than is the Ghanaian, and he's a lot more durable than Juárez. If only their shootout had lasted a bit longer and Lagos survived those dangerous early rounds with the Mexican, he probably could have done for him. :deal:

Not only did Dogboe not look convincing in his gift over Diaz, he also got a gift wins of sorts over Adam Lopez. With most including myself scoring it a draw or close win for Lopez.

I wouldn't be completely shocked if Lagos pulled it off, but in all likelihood, he doesn't have the firepower to put Dogboe's lights out, Emilio Sanchez is a glass cannon, and Dogboe is not, the man can take a hell of a beating. So since it's in his home country, if it goes the distance and it probably will, Dogboe will win on points.
