The whole DAZN thing. I was expecting it to blow up the way Eddie was banging on about it at the start. I was expecting the UK talent to come flocking, huge fights more regular than they were on Sky, DAZN to pick up on other sports, Premier League, UFC, Champions League and it would become the "Netflix of sport" but that just hasn't happened, I'm not saying there aren't any quality fights on DAZN, I was just expecting them to really take over. The thing that really surprises me is the lack of exposure of Hearn and DAZN these days, the only time I hear from him is on the odd interview with Kugan or Boxing Social. Have DAZN tightened the purse strings in regards to publicity/advertising and general promotion? Aside from porn, my Internet search history has so much boxing I thought I'd get tons of DAZN promos, interviews etc on my YouTube feed, but I forget about Matchroom more and more. Sky really know how to maximise and promote their content, DAZN are nowhere near it on that front.

I think Hearn will regret it from an ego/ popularity perspective, but not from a business one (the company balance sheet will be better with DAZN deal). He made the move not for the benefit of the fans or the sport but to make money. Can't really blame him, as he is running a business. But his ego is not coping well, hence all the bitterness coming from him lately.

Bottom line is is that you don't see Eddie on SSN anymore and that is damaging regards snagging in the casual fans.

Once out of the limelight, people are easily forgotten, especially with the youth of today.

Oh exactly. Perfect example is Tyson Fury - 90% of the people who disliked him 5-6 years ago now love him. That is the fickle nature of society.

DAZN UK Box Office would have got about 10 times their subscriber base buying the PPV so that makes 137 Box Office viewers - the rest of the world would have no idea it was on.

He has earned it through actual sporting achievements.

If I never liked someone would not make a difference. I like Fury, always have done. Take Josh Taylor, respect him as a boxer, and his achievements, but I am not a big fan as not taken to him as a person.

Promoting fights in MSG then Canelo at the T mobile a week later.

    Yep completly irrelevant.

Also the context for the quote is "not a ppv fight but the money fighters want mean it has to be ppv"

Exactly the same thing he said regarding the similar ppv fights on sky.

I hated Fury's boxing up to when Tony Pullis managed him and pulled off the stinker in Dusseldorf in what was the worst fight ever seen.

Grown on me in and out of the ring since the comeback becoming more of a fan after every fight.

Earn's problem is the same fish are found in many rivers and it is nearly impossible not to catch one with a rod these days.

See I appreciated how he got inside Vlad's head in build up and come the fight, how he nullified him. I fancied he would beat Vlad. I suppose with Fury, I watched him live making his debut so always supported him from then. Except for the knockout, he done to Dillian what he done to Vlad. Nullified him and took his in ring confidence away, leading them to second guessing everything and missing opportunities as a result. Usyk done same to Joshua. Special fighters do that. Canelo, Ward other great examples of this.
