After being wrongfully imprisoned for illegally squatting in a dumpster, I could see Lewis introducing and running a chess club in prison, serving to placate and refine even the most hardened inmates.

Though he didn’t look like, walk or talk like the other inmates, Lennox eventually establishes himself as a model prisoner, admired by both fellow inmates and staff.

Meanwhile, Lewis patiently and painstakingly digs a tunnel over decades that facilitates his ultimate escape and long deserved freedom.

Ironically, Lennox Claudius cleverly hides the hole in his cell with a huge poster of a scowling Sonny Liston - allowing Lennox to self heal, no longer consumed by malice or hate toward the man actually responsible for his incarceration so many years before…….

EDIT: Test audiences were none too thrilled with the ALTERNATE ENDING in which, upon catching wind of Lennox’s escape, Riddick Bowe tracks Lewis down and kills him - in response to audience aghast, producers cut out the final scenes - The original working title was The Bowe Redemption but it had to be pulled also for obvious reasons.

Lennox hits him with his special "anchor punch '', and puts liston down in seconds.

Lewis then starts running around sonny, shouting at him" Get up you big bum ''!

A few spectators whisper "I think the guy on the floor threw it ''...

I saw that one the day it happened as it made the news. We have had a fair bit of road rage in recent years.

That old pug was awesome. That's a big rough looking unit he is beating down, bit of a bikie looking type as far as bikie looking types go here now. Always gymed/roided up and loads of tatts. The chump tried to make out he was still keen but he certainly wasn't. He was dominated and couldn't even get a shot off.

Sounds eerily familiar... maybe I have seen that in a dream, but I can't be sure. I can't even imagine the controversy that would've transpired even if something a bit similar had happened in real life... :naughty2:

It definitely couldn't now that I think about it. Ridiculous and a bit far fetched isn't it!

Lennox Lewis doesn't have the mentality of a street fighter, Lennox is a nice guy, Sonny wasn't, in the street Charles Sonny Liston is the Boss.

Yes. Lewis was gunshy in general lol, have you seen his fights? He only opens up and throws bombs when he knows he's way better than the other guy and it's a safe bet. He was a rather introverted and awkward person and has zero experience in that sort of environment. Didn't he threaten to sue Rahman over comments he didn't like? Huge difference in culture.

I can't find the clip on YouTube, but Steward let him have it telling him to let his hands go. It's on fbook if you have it

Lewis has a significant punchers chance, no one is saying he'd be useless in a street fight. But street fights are a completely different ball game and if you lack experience in it, you will be at a disadvantage against someone who does have experience just like any other form of combat. He'd be out of his element against Liston who had been in many street fights.

Do you believe Liston wouldn't have it as easy with guys like Tyson, Valuev, Rahman, Ibeabuchi or Tua for example?

I’d say Liston probably has the stronger chin and has a style that’s more suited for a no rules street fight scenario. Though to be fair I think thats true of any pre 70s fighter. Back then boxing was a lot more scrappy and brutal while now a days boxing is a lot more refined and having a fighters instinct is starting to become less crucial when it comes being successful in the modern era.

In a street fight? Everyone except Valuev might give him a very rough time or could possibly win.
