I thought you mispelled Tua. And I didnt see the resemblence since I never rated Parker until recently. The extra weight and the Kronk style seems to have improved him but I still dont see him as more than a footnote in history. Plus I like the Juggernaut much more.
Joyce is very deceptive he looks slow and lumbering but his jab is very effective he also has a iron chin and very heavy hands. I think that Parker will need to use his speed and get in an out. It is a good match up almost 50/50
Joe Parker v Joe Joyce is a real good fight. I thought Joyce's win against Daniel Dubois was one of the best performances by any H/W we've seen in recent times. Showed his excellent boxing skills & motor. He was able to fight at a consistent pace over the distance which Dubois wasn't comfortable with. Dubois had to exert himself beyond what was comfortable for him in order to keep up. Eventually he didn't. The big risk for Joyce appears to be his recent inactivity having only fought 6 rounds against Carlos Takam since his win over Dubois. That will be 6 rounds in 20 months going into the Parker fight. Parker, by contrast, has fought three 12 rounders over the same period against Junior Fa & Dereck Chisora showing improvement in his most recent performance. Parker's in the ring activity has been supplemented by regular sparring with Tyson Fury. Don't underestimate the value of that in terms of improving his skills & overall capabilities as a fighter. Who wins? Joe Joyce I think, but Parker is a live underdog who if he's there for all 12 rounds could manage to sneak it. He's proven that he can fight at a consistent pace over the distance which was Dubois' failing. Parker could outwork JJ over the second half of the fight.

Watched an absolutely superb domestic fight last night. Flin Makeham and Kieran Whitehead for the Qld Super Middle title. It was streamed on b4 the fight YouTube channel. If you’re looking for something to watch, you won’t be disappointed.
Xander Zayas is the kind of fighter they ought to bring in for Junior Tszyu to spar with now that he's reached the pointy end of the sport. You wouldn't want the young bloke to carry all the burden of sparring with him but he & perhaps another import are what's required to prepare Junior for world class opposition. The local who would be an ideal sparring partner in terms of preparing Junior for the likes of Tony Harrison or Jermell Charlo is Michael Zerafa. I can't see that happening but he's the got the required build & skills to prepare Junior for those particular opponents better than anyone else in this country. Zerafa of course will be on the lookout for a solidly built, physically strong 5'10 southpaw middleweight with good skills & decent hand speed in order to prepare for his own world title shot. I wonder where they can find one of those?
Not to many that fit the bill at home Sandman. Off the top of my head Victor Nagabe might have the build, stance and athleticism to be of some help. But Vic doesn't have the defensive polishing and amatuer credentials, being of a muay thai background, that a Olympic Silver Medallist brings. Paulo Aukuso would give him some quality rounds but not to similar stylistically to the Brazilian fella.
I was thinking quid pro quo. If Zerafa were to give Junior a month of sparring in Sydney in the lead-up to a Tony Harrison fight, send the other Tszyu to Melbourne for a month of sparring in the lead-up to Zerafa's world title shot. Likely won't happen but if they expect to beat the best in the world, their respective teams should give serious consideration to it.
