He didn’t start doing that until some of his later fights. He did it against Washington on purpose, not because he was actually struggling. It’s not analogus to what he might do against Ali.

Deontay Wilder has fought 45 times, and he was behind on the cards when a fight ended in THREE fights (his last three).

That's not quite losing every round.

He struggled against Molina, getting hurt and looking very tired before pulling off the KO. I think Ali can do better than Molina. He lost about 4 rounds to the French bum Dauhaupa or something. Washington was winning rounds fairly easily. Ortiz, at the age of 50, won almost every round apart from the ones where he got hurt. Not to mention Wilder being wobbled and looking gassed in several fights.

You are talking about a guy with a shitty jab, poor left hook, throwing a right hand until he lands. No inside game at all. You avoided the Bowe question also. I suspect you think Wilder could beat one or more of Bowe, Holyfield, Lewis, Tyson. I'm not saying the guy doesn't have a punchers chance against anyone but he's not a technician. You have to expect him to be losing fights to good fighters unless he manages to land a big punch. That's going to be his legacy.

I suspect you want to talk about anything other than how Deontay Wilder would do in the 1970s, because you talk about everything but that.

I'm just responding to the thread topic.

I like Wilder and admire his heart, but any of those guys would pulverize him imo.

    OK?

Well if he was in his prime against every single opponent then yeah sure. But Shavers didn't get that luxury why should Wilder?

I called you an idiot for your failure to differentiate who is the harder puncher and who is the BETTER puncher.

Nothing I've said is contradictory. You're just too stupid to keep up as was the case in that thread regarding Liston's age.

Thanks for your contributions to the thread. How old did you insist Liston was again? Nevermind.:pipi

Are you dense or what? Swag said he would take Wilder over 1977 Ali, but he said in different post that he wouldn't take him over 1970s Ali.

This thread isn't about replacing Shaver with Wilder, even 1975 Ali was much better than the one Shavers faced

I said I would take him over THE VERSION OF ALI THAT SHAVERS FACED. Not the best version of '70s Ali. For the record I'd also favor Wilder over a '73 Holmes, and '76 Frazier. Doesn't mean I'd favor him over the best 70s' renditions of them.

You never said anything like the "BEST" version of Ali. I copied and pasted exactly what you wrote. The word BEST isn't anywhere in there.

You're changing what you said as you go along.

**** off, too. Seriously. I've had it with your insults, too. You and the troll who doesn't know who Earnie Shavers is BUT INSISTED on arguing with me about it.

He definitely talked about versions Shavers faced in that post you quoted. He also included versions of Frazier and Foreman that Shavers faced, right?

I never said "the best version of Ali" because I thought it was obvious to anyone with a brain (you obviously don't qualify), favoring Wilder over '77 Ali and favoring the best rendition of 70s Ali over Wilder weren't mutually exclusive.

So it seems you don't understand sarcasm either? You really should work on your reading comprehension...
