Shakur schools him, might feel the power and do it in a boring way though

Shakur looks extremely talented but Valdez is proven. I'm going with the rugged and experienced Valdez.

Ima be honest with you the only fight we’re people didn’t call Valdez protected or overhyped was against Berchelt and then the very next fight he popped hot and looked horrible.. He’s far from proven but he is more proven than Shakur.. That said this is gonna be a massacre Shakur is gonna punish this guy..

Valdez’s average defense and style would play into Stevenson’s hands. I expect Shakur to win this convincingly, unless Valdez surprises us again with another good performance. Hoping for a fun competitive fight at least.

I would not be surprised by a Shakur win but a Shakur win by beatdown would be very impressive.

While Valdez looked great, Berchelt looked like a corpse. I expect Shakur to be too fast and elusive for Valdez.

I think it will be Stevenson by decision. Conceicao was able to outbox him and I think Stevenson does too but easier.

Valdez is a far smarter fighter than people give him credit for, and against the one southpaw I've seen him fight, he cut off thering very well and was consistently and correctly moving to his extreme left, almost Loma-esque movement, causing Tamayo to have to repeatedly reset. He was creating openings and landing his orthodox jab over his right, and his straight right and left hook with regularity. I was actually shocked has easily he was able to negate his southpaw advantages, and this was early in his career. So if he was that adept at it back then, under the tutelage of the Reynoso's, I think he's going to pose a ton of problems for Shakur. Who let's be honest, has never really fought a puncher or anyone who can cut off the ring. I think it'll be a chess match for a while and Valdez will take over in the middle rounds, land something that rocks him and polishes him off. Yeah, yeah, Conceicao should've got the W, and guess what, I predicted he would. Because Conceicao is really damn big and really damn good. I think Robson would probably beat Shakur too.

Shakur boxes his way to a comfortable decision, 8 rounds to 4.

I give you that I do remember you picking Conceicao and he might have the best pure boxing skills in that division. It wouldn’t surprise me if Shakur wins, they match him with Robson as his next fight..
