He attributed his recovery to swimming and he believed that God and the reputed health benefits of salt expedited it. Spence losing his 0 would have been far more disastrous to his career than skipping the pay day w/ Pac and making it back up in 2 fights or more. Spence said that he was depressed and struggling w/ his weight prior to the Ugas fight. He did almost nothing in terms of promotion for the fight, but was yapping and pushing out content daily for the Ugas fight. And let's not forget that the sparring video that leaked showed him getting lit up by a small unknown southpaw. And during the Pacquiao camp, Derrick James brought up the benefit of IV fluids. Spence was having a terrible camp and faked an injury.

Plus still no proof that Spence had a retina tear.

 

Spence would have beaten De La Hoya. The Trinidad fight is proof of that especially with his superior stamina.

Against Spence, a prime Pacquiaos advantages outweigh him being "more hittable". The Pacquiao that fought Cotto was on a level Spence has never in his career, maybe not until he fights Crawford. Perhaps Spence does end up being a 147 ATG. But right now I dont see Spence beating prime Pacquiao. Pacquiao blitzes him half the fight and wins a decision imo
