Good Fights with criminal film quality/errors/missing rounds etc....

I always wanted to see the Lionel Rose against Chucho Castillo fight, but that is horrendous video of the fight.

 

I’m happy to trade a bit of quality to get all 15 rounds of a fight from 1931.

 

Yep, that’s a shocker - rounds missing as well.

almost ALL of it up until the late 1940s, damn near all of it!

 

Ken Buchanan-Laguna I is so annoying. I´ve gotten three different versions, all crappy.

Buchanan´s performance was amazing, coming on in the stifling heat (remember how McGuigan fell to pieces due to the heat) in Puerto Rico to sweep the last few rounds.

Ken had only fought once abroad, getting floored and outpointed in Spain but here beating a tough champion coming off two excellent World title defences.

Doesn´t seem to be any British coverage, maybe someone from Panama has a better copy. Love to see Ken Buchanan´s finest hour in a half decent image.

More recent ones - but there are two obscure classics, from what I heard, that I'm yet to see since full version is not avaible.
1) Carl Thompson vs Sebastiaan Rothmann.
BBC only showed incomplete version with some rounds missing, on tape delay, the way They often used to do it back then. I think complete version must still be in the archives of either BBC or the promoter, so I keep hoping.

2) Zack Mwekassa vs Jozsef Nagy.
It was televised in South Africa, so complete version must exist - but I never saw it.

 

Glad to see that it exists. Fingers crossed one day it will become accessiable.

 

Romeo Anaya vs Arnold Taylor is said to be one of the most dramatic fights in the lower weights. If only there was a better quality and with the entire footage.
