Usyk didn't have to stay around at cruiser because he cleaned it completely out. He is the best cruiser of all time. He beat not only the who is who of cruiser, but he beat an absolute world class level of fighters in their backyards.

Unbeaten prime glowacki world champion in Poland
Still a formidable huck in Germany
An unbeaten hunter in the states
The south African guy who is a pain in the ass for everybody
World class champ and atg cruiser Breidis in his prime in Lithuania
A prime unbeaten badass gassiev in Russia
An overachiever from Britain in Britain with the name of bellew

For me the best possible run for the last 30 years at any weight.

Then he went to England to embarrass aj.

If he beats aj again and furry, then we are talking about an atg top 5 heavy and the cruiser goat

We all have flaws, don't we?
Here are some flaws I've seen in ATG hyped heroes.

Ali getting floored by LHW Frazier
Ali getting brain damage from taking so many punches due to his woeful defence.
Frazier getting smashed to pieces by slow predictable Foreman.
Foreman getting KO'd by light punching Ali.
Tyson getting beaten up twice by a cruiserweight, and quitting whenever the going got tough.
Holyfield getting stopped by a former MW.
SHW Lewis getting one-punched twice, including by a small HW.

So just LOL at Fury and Usyk having flaws compared to ATGs. Nothing mentioned would ever happen to them.

And only last night I had some idiot on here saying that Usyk didn't do enough at Cruiser. He didn't defend his belts etc. Idiots.

I am one of those old guys that thinks the older fighters were better on the average, and tend to pick them in H2H matchups (probably because of the sheer number of them, and the fact that the best fought the best more often). I am particularly disgusted with the HW division. I think Fury & Usyk are clearly head & shoulders above the rest, which isn't saying much cause all of the others are pretty terrible. I hate to sound like a downer, believe me I am so sad that my wonderful sport is falling apart here in the States.

So yes they are overhyped and overrated.

No. Just compare how rated they would be if they were both American fighters.

Who did he beat at CW. Which ATG, which HOF, which dominant champ. The CW division was devoid of any real talent. Maybe Breidis. Hence the reason for a tournament to find the best. I rate Usyk I was giving reasons as to why some might say he was overrated.

You're saying the run at CW is impressive. Yet no ATGs, no HOFamers, not even a dominant champ.

Nobody is saying Usyk is s#hit. Maybe just overrated.

So who did he need to beat in order to make you rate his run their?

I rate his run. If you had reading comprehension, you would have understood what I said. I was giving a devils advocate argument.

Fury is Usyk less so. People stating Fury as GOAT are insane as it's not based on who he's beaten but purely on the basis of being big,
Styles do make fights and Fury has fought very few elite operators for people to assume that he beats everybody either today or in mythical matchups. The people who actually believe that are either casuals or fanboys, or even casual fanboys.

    You keep swerving this.

Tell me, who was left for Usyk to beat?? Surely you can name a few if you think he still had some challenges...

Personally, I believe both of these fellows to be Atgs and not overhyped.

Btw, with the 1 exception being that fellow Mr Robinson, every fighter has flaws. That doesn't take away from Fury and Usyk's greatness.
