Do you consider Cotto to be an ATG? If so, why not Shawn Porter?

Why would this be an unpopular opinion? Every boxing fan understands the game Floyd played with the picking and promotion of his character. That Canelo win was by a long long way his best win, and we still have to put asterisks against it.

That's probably because those fighters weren't around in Floyd's time. Using the exact same logic, none of those fighters that you mentioned ever fought a fighter as great as Floyd Mayweather.

But let's break it down further:

Crawford - great fighter, match between the two would've been difficult for both Crawford and Floyd.

Shakur Stevenson - great fighter, but a little bit below Floyd's abilities in almost every aspect. Plus a lot more to prove.

Spence - only because of his size and strength would he be a difficult opponent for Floyd, due to being a huge welter vs Floyd being a former super feather and a small welter. Otherwise his boxing skills, defense, ring IQ etc are not even close to Floyd's. In P4P terms Mayweather's abilities are levels above Spence's. Floyd is a 5-weight world champion. Spence will likely struggle the very first time he fights an elite opponent at a higher weight class. Nowhere near as "great" as Floyd.

Tank Davis - invalid point. Very good and pretty tough fighter but not exactly "great" in this analogy. A come-forward pressure fighter with good reflexes (and solid boxing skills compared to brawlers, but far removed from highly skilled outside boxer) but short reach and disadvantage in height. Easy work for any version of active (under 40) Floyd at any weight class. Would've washed Davis easy, maybe even stopped him depending on the weight class and Tank's mental toughness which has yet to be tested.

Ennis ?? - prospect/contender with no notable record??? fought zero top 10 opponents. doesn't qualify as "great" by any stretch at this point.

How in god's name are Ennis, who FTR I think it looks like he might be a very special talent and I've also heard high praise from many who've shared a ring with him, and Stevenson, who whilst talented bores and annoys me in equal measure with that stupid face of his, great yet?

I'm not even sure if most would describe Terry, who I consider one of the top 3 most skillful fighters in the game, and Errol as ''great'' yet? Errol definitely not. Floyd has actually beaten a bunch of great fighters and unlike so many of today's so called greats was actually beating fighters bigger than him not way naturally smaller.

You have stank davis in a atrocious list of fighters who are obviously not greater than Mayweathers top wins.

You have lost all credibility and cannot be trusted under any circumstances

Think about what you've done IQ

Idk... personally I think it's laughable to believe that Canelo wasn't as good as Davis.

This whole green Canelo thing, while valid to a point relative to what he is today, is getting way out of hand, imo.

That Canelo would've lost to Spence, Crawford, and Charlo at 154. You saw what Lara, Trout, and Cotto did to him (who are lower than the fighters I listed).

Would've washed Davis? He didn't even wash Judah who was a level below Davis. Tf?

So the still relatively untested fighters you mentioned...are better than those atgs you listed, they weren't peak..but they weren't shot either.

It's a pretty bad as far as opinions go ..people are really jumping the gun here on the current crop of fighters as of late lol

You're touting Ennis, Shakur and Davis as "great fighters".. Yet they have yet to fully prove themselves

Zab Judah is a 7x world champ and the last undisputed welter champ, tank is scared to fight any half decent fighter in any division. You smoking d!ck right now it’s okay you don’t like Floyd but you sound straight up dumb

That fact that it’s ppl who actually think like this is astounding, for anybody who makes it this far a newflash, outside of Canelo whose at least trying NONE of these guys are ANYWHERE near close to Floyd as a fighter in any aspect not skills not accomplishments not resume
