Cracking fight this would be I think it'd be a back and forth war for the first half of the fight. Then Beefys superior toughness, grit, heart and chin would be the difference. Smith by late stoppage!
Liam Smith would be far too strong for him judging on that last performance, would likely just steam into Kell and bust him up; Smith is relentless once he gets into his stride, and at this point I think Brook wouldn't be able to survive the 12 You never know,Brook may do it,but as good as he looked against Khan, Khan was useless in that fight & I just feel Smith would essentially bully Kell in there at this stage
At this point Smith for sure and I actually don't think Brook will be that competitive beyond the 6th round as even at 154 at this age/stage I don't think he has the punch resistance to face a pressure fighter as seasoned and tough as Liam Smith. Kell has been offered this fight numerous times and it's clearly not going to happen. There was a brief window when it was very unlikely but possible, now post Khan fight when he has added another few million to his bank balance and needs it even less there's zero chance this happens.
That fight will not become a reality as it will not generate the large sums. There are far more interesting fights out there.
Like I said in a previous post, Brook is a faster starter and fades in fights, he is even more fragile if it goes late now. Brook in 3 rounds or Smith in 7+ rounds, guareenteed stoppage IMO. Favour Smith pretty handily at this stage
Smith stoppage after 5 rounds. Brook is finished and only a factor vs other shot fighters at this point
Prime Brook beats the crap out of any version of Smith. Current Brook winning isn't inconceivable, but he's more prone to being broken down now and Smith's experience is serving him really well at this veteran stage of his career.
Very little chance of this happening. I think Brook will fight anyone but he wants paying and Smith can’t provide those numbers. At this stage Smith would be the favourite but even now I can see Brook boxing his ears off for the first third of the fight. Then it’s what happens down the stretch that matters and how Brook will cope.
This fight goes similar to the Smith v Fowler fight for me. Liam Smith stoppage within 7-8 rounds. Brook faster, sharper and more accurate in the first couple...... however Beefy starts getting his feet closer and therefore more shots off as the rounds go by, starts breaking Brook down with shots to the head and body, the front foot pressure starts to tell and he forces a stoppage.
The fight I would have loved to have seen would have been a fit and focussed Scott Fitzgerald v Smith back in early 2020 had C19 not been around. I think this would have be an absolute war. Scott coming off 2 wins v Fowler and Cheeseman. It would be a lot closer than people think. Sadly, this fight will never happen. Smith walks through Brook and ends it around R6. Not really sure where Smith goes next. Rankings or an easy domestic payday? CEJ would be my move, grab a bit of both in my previous sentence.
