I’ve been meaning to rewatch Azumah vs. Lupe Suarez again. I was at that fight live — day before Tyson-Spinks in Atlantic City. Suarez IIRC fought him on very even terms then Nelson landed a bomb after the bell one round and finished him off the next round. At least that’s how I remember it.

Speaking of Azumah Nelson he's pretty good in rematches Fenech 2, Leija 3, Martinez 2, Villasana 2, makes you wonder if he Sanchez had lived could Nelson have found a way to beat him aswell.

D, what a crazy fight. Not too much in the way of skill and technique, but these two sure put on a show. I believe it was @roughdiamond who initially put this on our radar and @George Crowcroft also checked it out. Just an unbelievable gutsy fight. Highly recommend it, guys, just for a fun fight.

Crazy Kim sounds like someone who should have been in a hip hop group with Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez.

    Mark Johnson vs Alberto Jimenez

    1 Even
    2 Johnson
    3 Johnson
    4 Johnson
    5 Jimenez
    6 Johnson
    7 Jimenez
8 Johnson Great exchange at the end
9 Jimenez great round and great exchange at the end again
    10 Even
    11 Johnson
    12 Jimenez great round again

    116-114 Johnson

This was a great battle one of Johnson's early fights, Jimenez is one tricky tough customer very aggressive fighter constantly switching right to left, Johnson doing what he does boxing beautifully with amazing quick combinations. But often stood his ground and went toe to toe with Jimenez, close fight very competitive with some great exchanges. I would suggest @Jel @scartissue @salsanchezfan to watch and score this one. Highly entertaining with alot of close rounds will be an interesting one to score for you guys.

Johnson for me is one of the most entertaining skillful fighters i've ever seen.

    Mark Johnson vs Josue Camacho

    1 Even
    2 Johnson
    3 Johnson
    4 Johnson
    5 Johnson
    6 Johnson
    7 Johnson
8 Johnson wins by TKO Referee stops the fight

    70-64 Johnson

All i'm gonna say about this fight is body punching, one of the best and most consistent displays of body punching, i've seen in a fight for sometime. After a cautious 1st round Johnson just went straight at Camacho, attacking him relentlessly like Joe Frazier. Constantly pounding away at Camacho on the ropes to the body and head, with the body punches being the stand out punches. I also noticed Johnson would switch to a right handed stance at times, when he was attacking Camacho on the ropes.

I thought the stoppage was a tad strange, the referee just seemed to stop the fight randomly. No question Johnson was pounding away at Camacho, and winning the fight very convincing. But i didn't think it warranted being stopped, although it probably saved Camacho from taking more of a beating.

Overall a good aggressive body punching display from Johnson.

    Joshua vs Whyte

This was a well matched fight. The two up and coming, somewhat unproven youngsters.

A very competitive scrap that saw Joshua edge out round after round.

Round 2 saw Whyte catch him with that big left hook but AJ rode the storm.

Both men had decent success, but AJ had more of it. The breakthrough came in the 7th.

AJ landed a temple shot that had Whyte all over the place, before landing the inevitable right uppercut that Whyte never quite learnt to defend.

Very good victory for what is heavyweight heir apparent.

Fury is just about to beat Wlad, Chisora is currently in no man's land after being outclassed by Fury. So AJ is the best of the domestic bunch, and all set to challenge Wilder of Wlad v Fury.

    Joshua vs Martin

This is the fight. AJ gets a title shot, but more than that the reigning champ is currently AWOL with drug issues. So this fight has the ability to propel AJ to the number 1 spot.

His only rival is Wilder who looked very shaky vs Szpilka and doesnt look likely to step up in comp any time soon.

Firs round is tentative both looking to time the other. In the 2nd it happens, a straight right cracks the jaw of Martin, he beats the count but is dropped again.

Very British stoppage imo, but we have a new HW king, and for my money the new number 1.

Someone could do a magic trick where they are blindfolded and Dillian Whyte comes in full bore.

Just by sensing the airstream from Dilly Dillly’s gigantic misses to gauge the timing and distance, they throw an uppercut and knock him out.

Would go over big in Vegas. Maybe warm up for Penn & Teller.

It's amazing he's got so far with such a glaring weakness.

He's thrown off balance hooks his whole career.

Bert Cooper v Michael Moorer (vacant WBO heavyweight title)

Round 1: 10-10 Even (both fighters score knockdowns in a wild round)
    Round 2: 10-9 Cooper
    Round 3: 10-8 Cooper (scores a knockdown)
    Round 4: 10-9 Moorer
Round 5: Moorer lays out Cooper

Total through 4 completed rounds: 39-37 Cooper (actual scores: 39-36, 38-37 both for Cooper and a 38-38)

I know this was brief, but I couldn't resist. Just a wild fight and to tell you the truth, many referees today would have stopped this fight in Cooper's favor in the 1st round when he was barraging him along the ropes. Just a fun fight.

    Mark Johnson vs Leon Salazar

    1 Johnson amazing 1st round
    2 Salazar
    3 Johnson
4 Salazar doesn't come out for the 4th round

    Johnson 29-28

So i just watched this fight on @George Crowcroft channel, i have to say this was an amazing battle while it lasted. For me this was a better 3 rounder than Hagler/Hearns.

Johnson came out attacking from the opening bell and seemed to be overwhelming Salazar, but Salazar cameback in the last minute and the two men traded, unbelievable punches in a great round that resembled Hagler/Hearns 1st round.

The 2nd round again Johnson came out attacking from the opening bell, only this time mid way through the round. Johnson was badly hurt by Salazar, and seemed in real difficulty and might be somewhat close to being stopped. But fair play to Johnson he cameback in the last 50 seconds or so, and both men were traded ridiculous punches again, in another great unbelievable round.

The 3rd round Johnson came out with a real mean streak, he attacked Salazar brutally but this time added some body shots in there. And the body shots were what turned it around for Johnson, he hammed Salazar to the body who looked in difficultly and in pain from the brutal body punishment from Johnson.

Salazar didn't come out for the 4th round, i'm not exactly sure why. Maybe Johnson hurt him badly to the body and may of broke a rib ? i have no idea either way Salazar didn't want to continue and Johnson won by TKO.

The only disappointing thing with this fight, was we didn't get a satisfying ending. But while it lasted this fight was a war and amazing to watch, and i recommend anyone to watch this short little brutal war.

Artur Szpilka vs Mike Mollo I

    1 Mollo knockdown 10-8
    2 Szpilka
    3 Szpilka
    4 Mollo knockdown 10-8
5 9-9 point deduction was BS
    6 Szpilka wins by KO

    47-45 Mollo

This one is for you @scartissue if you haven't seen this fight before, i know you've been watching some Heavyweights recently. This is a great underrated Heavyweight brawl, and also what in the world was up with this referee in this fight ? imagine Mollo got headbutted, and the referee cursed at him for nothing ? and then in round 4 takes a point away for literally nothing ? did Mollo have sex with his wife or something ? he seemed to dislike Mollo for no reason.

Mollo's face was a crimson mask from the headbutt and elbow. But he was still game and managed to floor Szpilka again the 3rd round and hurt him, but in the end Mollo just didn't have the stamina, and was too unfit to last the distance despite showing alot of heart. And Szpilka landed a peach of a straight left to knockout Mollo in the 6th round.

I remember the 2nd fight being good aswell, and i'll be watching that one later aswell. The 2nd fight is also another Heavyweight fight for you to watch @scartissue

Artur Szpilka vs Mike Mollo 2

    1 Szpilka
    2 Szpilka
    3 Mollo 10-8 knockdown
    4 Szpilka
5 Szpilka floors Mollo and wins by TKO referee stops the fight

    Szpilka 38-37

So this fight wasn't quite as good as the first meeting, this was more one sided. Szpilka pretty much controlled this fight, outside of the 3rd round where Szpilka hurt Mollo and tried to finish him off, and then got caught with a counter left hook. Spzilka was hurt and didn't seem to have much under his legs at the end of the round, but outside of that memorable 3rd round. The fight was mostly one way traffic, and the ending of the fight was exactly like the 1st meeting with a peach of straight left.

Overall i'd still say it was worth watching, but not quite as competitive or as good as their first meeting.

Salazar's camp suspected he had a broken hand and told the doctor. The doctor advised them to stop it. I don't know whether it was actually fractured, or what Salazar's thoughts were.

But yeah, it is a great, great little brawl. There's another early Two Sharp fight which is really good, against Enrique Orozco.

Y'know, I've seen his known fun fights and the odd couple of his title fights, but I really haven't seen more than one fight with Too Sharp at his best. Will have to get on that.
