It's an exaggerated job... this guy is going to be screwed when he goes up to 135… this guy is easier to beat than people want to believ
The only one that beats Stevenson for sure is Loma. I don't think he should rush into a Tank fight either. But everyone is young and developing, anything could happen.
Would love to see this fight. I see Stevenson winning on point but can’t count Davis out. Davis has good hand speed and a decent chin. If he risk eating a few punch to get inside and if he land that uppercut it could be lights out. But we know this fight will never happen.
It is not Davis he should worry about although that would be a good fight. Haney is the fighter that I think would beat Shakur.
the referee should have stopped Shakur from using is his right glove in front of Valdez face. Shakur used it throughout the fight. The referee just told him " don't do that" throughout the fight. And it wasn't until the 12th round that Shakur was warned. I noticed that when the referee told him not to do it, Valdez had a little more success in getting inside and delivering more punches. But then Shakur got back to it because that was an effective way to keep Valdez at bay. However, I think Valdez was not able to adjust and Shakur is the clear winner and the better boxer.
If Crawford can't teach him to throw a hook he'll never find that gear. He's great on the line, and usually wins his engagements, he just can't add power to his shots. Unluckily for him and us, he's small, so he won't be fighting Haney, Garcia, Teofimo. Maybe Tank tho.
Shakur small? He refused to tell Kriegel his walk around weight. And he looked 2 weight classes bigger than Valdez.
So is Stevenson really that small or just still young enough to boil down? To me he looked huge next to Valdez. So that would make Valdez tiny? I have a suspicion he'd look at least as big as Teofimo next to Lomachenko, for example. I have a hard time being certain about such things until I see them at the weigh in or (better) in the ring with the competitor in question.
He doesn`t have power and Teo hits harder than anyone at 130, nobody can move up and beat him despite his awful display in his last fight.
