If Crawford can't teach him to throw a hook he'll never find that gear. He's great on the line, and usually wins his engagements, he just can't add power to his shots. Unluckily for him and us, he's small, so he won't be fighting Haney, Garcia, Teofimo. Maybe Tank tho.

Tactically, Lopez adopted a very aggressive posture in the opening rounds, and with his size, firepower, and handspeed, forced Lomachenko to retreat and/or fight off his back foot. That made it much more difficult for Loma to exploit seams and angles.

Later on, after he had grown more accustomed to Lopez's speed and power, Lomachenko began moving forward more and generating offense with some success.

It's OK buddy, not all of us can be boxing experts.

If Loma was that great, he wouldn't have lost to Lopez in such an embarrassing way.

I would go so far to say Loma isn't elite, but he isn't the same guy that made 4 consecutive fighters quit on their stool either. His peak during his prime was off the chart, so a Loma at 80% is still a tough night for anyone, even Shakur. I hope this fight happens within the next year.

Re-score the fight, it was a draw. Also Teo is huge for the weight, Loma has gone up in divisions. Stevenson isn’t going to do **** at 135. First of all he isn’t going to fight anybody of note anyway. Haney has a good chance against him, he is just as technical. Shakur beats Teo if he stays away from the right hand which he is skilled enough to do quite easily. He could beat Kambosos purely based on styles, Shakur is too good to let it become a brawl kind of fight. Loma though, its too much.

Shakur will hold the belt’s once most at 135 move to 140. Until then I cant see him fighting anyone good. He probably fights people like Nakatani until everyone leaves the division

It was not a draw lol, but perhaps thats the best you can give Lomachenko if you dont count any of the supposedly glancing blows Lopez landed early.

Salido and Lopez beat Loma by being the bigger guy and roughing up Loma. With Lopez he had the size and power to keep Loma at bay while being more aggressive and outworking him. Shakur is a defensive counter puncher, the complete opposite of Teofimo, but his style works in Loma's favor. We have yet to see how Shakur does against another slick southpaw that uses angles and fast combinations. I honestly think Loma, if he's still the same fighter, would outbox Shakur. There's a reason why he's been able to easily beat a guy like Rigo using boxing skills alone.

I'd still favor Loma at this point. Eventually the scale is gonna tip in the other direction and I'll favor Shakur, not quite yet though. I'm not anointing him and he's not even at that weight................let's not get crazy.

That's how I see it at this moment in time , I'd take Loma in a fight this year, the more time passes though ....?

Why is Loma all a sudden not elite anymore?

You just sound like a fan of Teo, not a fan of boxing. You’re blinded by it. It was a draw. You probably haven’t even been inside a boxing gym in your life so dont act like you know anything about it. You probably thought Canelo vs GGG 1 was a shut out for Canelo too

For your information i am more of a fan of Loma than Teo but that doesn`t blind me from the obvious. Yes your right i have never had a fight in the gym since school but i have been watching boxing for over 50 years so not an expert by any means but i do have a certain degree of knowledge.Btw i scored the Canelo v GGG a draw

    Fascinating fight.
Shakur probably has SECOND the best footwork/distance management skills in the 130-135 bunch, right after Loma.
