''He's a good fighter. He has really heavy hands'' ''He (Clenelo) has to be careful of that right hand. Bivol has a great right hand.. it's probably one of the strongest right hands I've ever felt'' --David Benavidez on Bivol Timestamped This content is protected
@Serge I don't believe Benavidez. If he has such a powerful right hand, how come we never saw him using it and knocking out his opponents? Bivol doesn't even belong in top 20. He is one of those paper champions who take advantage of lack of competition in his division, just like Canelo likes them.
He has good wins over Joe Smith Jr and Jean Pascal. Joe Smith Jr is probably 3rd best in the division who Beterbiev is fighting next. Bivol barely dropped a round and didn't get out of second gear. There are a lot of paper champions in boxing, but Bivol is definitely not one of them.
Skills pay the bills. If Canelo comes looking like a one dimensional bum like he did against Floyd & that American with no output then he is in deep trouble. Bit of footwork, range and timing that Bivol presents will give the little ginger man issues. Canelo will have to take a few to land his...
You don't believe a pro boxer who actually sparred with the guy and has no reason to lie at all while you get all your knowledge from watching his fights with a sixpack of beer and junkfood on the sofa? You're ****ing joke dude ....go and log off clown You're another fat keyboard warrior clown who thinks he knows boxing.
I'm not arguing he's a massive puncher. I've never said that. But his power is underrated and he hits harder than many think. He's fought a lot of very tough and durable fighters all of whom he's giving a significant amount of weight away too. He's more a natural SMW than LHW Pascal is a lot bigger than Bivol, his chin is carved out of pure granite and even though he's fought everyone and their dog the only fighter to ever stop him is a prime Krusher and that version of Kovalev could punch holes in castle walls and was arguably the most destructive puncher in the game. And even then Pascal finished on his feet Joe Smith is a very big LHW, teak-tough and has never been dropped let alone legitimately stopped Chilemba is tough as old boots, has fought everyone, is bigger than Bivol, and he's very slick and awkward. He's only been dropped a few times and one of those was by a prime Krusher and the only time he's been stopped was against Gvozdyk and that was due to an injury Salamov is bloody massive for the weight and AFAIA has never been dropped Craig Richards looked a division bigger than Bivol too and AFAIA has never been dropped Bivol can punch a bit This content is protected As for you last point
I don't like arguing in this forum, but let's look at what Benavidez said: “ This content is protected — you can see it in the fight, he’s not really too much different, This content is protected Especially with Canelo, his way to slide punches, This content is protected , more all that **** and This content is protected " https://www.badlefthook.com/2022/2/...in-dmitry-bivol-if-they-meet-boxing-news-2022 Looks like Benavidez is saying exactly what I'm saying. Bivol is one dimensional and predictable, he just throws 1-2s. It takes more than that to beat Canelo.
You referred to the power and not to Bivols ability to box or his skillset in general. I think Clenelo wins but when Benavidez said he felt the power of Bivol and it was one of the better right hands he took in his career i believe THIS more than you talking out of your ass.
