I don't think Hatton's cv has aged well at all. Tszyu win has a slight asterisk against it (shot fighter, home ref) then theres not alot of depth to his cv. Malignaggi probably his second best win. Castillo was a shot lightweight. I thought Hatton lost against Collazo but was being lined up for Mayweather at the time so got the decision so they could sell him as a "two weight champion", very dubious. Then he was proven to be levels and levels below the two elite fighters he faced. Maussa? Urango? decent at the time but historically irrelevant. Hatton was my favourite fighter, the build up to Mayweather was amazing, seemed like the whole of the UK was gripped by it. But since his retirement he's become a chronic alcoholic and looks like a sixty three year old rather than forty three. I hope this next comeback gives him some level of health which he can maintain longterm. Could be an amazing trainer if he wasn't on the booze.
He was in a classic fight against Mark Potter, dislocating his shoulder, fighting with one arm and winning by KO, beat Audley Harrison who many thought would win, beat McDermott twice and of course beat Mike Tyson ( I remember it in real time, NO-ONE thought Danny would win). In his fight with Vitali he showed he had a big heart and courage, he took that beating and kept coming forward. Listen like I said he's in my list, couldn't care less what anyone else thinks. Danny Williams is a British boxing legend to me.
Although I know he's not top 10 material for a list like this, I like the idea of an early to mid 90's Herbie Hide being in here, The Dancing Destroyer was one hard man and one that got me interested in boxing more than any other fighter back then.

I would keep this modern era, very few on here actually know much about the early greats accept what is passed on through word of mouth or news articles. Also depends on your interpretation of 'great' and whether this should include their impact on British society or just their boxing resume. If so then Frank Bruno is definitely up there and very honourable mentions to Barry Mcguigan, Lloyd Honeygan, even the often overlooked Duke Mckenzie.
