Wlad looks better with every passing day. He's well into the Top Ten for any reasonable, educated observer. That's a territory into which Fury can not tread with such a small sample size.

Fury's shorter career harkens a bit to Jeffries, hopefully without the misguided comeback.

Head to head, he's a nightmare for any man when he is on point.

Hopefully he sticks around to fight Usyk or AJ, or both.

Head to head.I might have a perceivably more
exaggerated opinion then most but I’m tipping the unicorn could thrash nearly any HW to ever live when he’s on.

Well I'd still like to see more evidence before making that claim, Fury hasn't beaten many skilled boxers outside of an old W.Klitschko. In which was a sparring session because Klitschko decided he didn't want to throw a punch.

Wilder has no skills outside of his right hand, and Whyte has already been knocked out twice and looked vulnerable everytime hes stepped up.

If he beats a skilled operator like Usyk then fairplay, but until that happens I'm still not totally sold.

He NEEDS too, if he's any real champ at all.

the Mist over Fury is really quite surprising to me... Boxing must be quite bad indeed.

someone said he is One of the Best among ALL Fighters of This Generation - that's not even True, never mind all time among HWs.

even now and in the last 20 years there are FAR Greater Boxers & Fighters than Fury, dear God he is a 3rd rate fighter, barely stepped into 2cd rate, the Whole Division is a sideshow. I just can't see the comparisons, their not even close.

    Honestly,

I really needed to see him fight Usyk as his style was one thing that Fury never encountered. It would have answered so many questions for me.

Had he done so and won, he would be right up with the H2H discussion along with Vitali K.

As it stands, and because he could have lost to Usyk he falls behind the likes of ( Ali, Dempsey, Marciano and Wlad) as Champs, and I would have to give solid chances to many past greats ( H2H) against him.

    VK beats him FYI.

Good post I totally agree, for me it's about the styles aswell. When has Fury ever fought a boxer as skilled as Usyk ?

Another good post especially the last part, I agree the division does nothing for me now either. It's just alot of overweight fighters or giants, hardly showing any athletism or skill. Imagine Heavyweight champion having love handles, like I'm not saying you have to be body building adonis. But for christ sake it does make a bit of mockery of it in my opinion.

Like honestly people can't tell me Whyte vs Fury, thrilled them like Heavyweights of the past.

Agreed. Fury is a beast but his scalps are limited atm. While Wlad is a bit underrated.

He is guy that would be tough for anyone to beat historically. Size, skill, athleticism and the ability to dig down deep and climb of the deck.

All that said, he needs to fight just one more time to really solidify his all time ranking. He needs that fight against the winner of Uysk/Joshua II.

If Joshua wins the rematch Fury absolutely will come back. If Usyk wins again I'm not sure the money is there. That's a fight for boxing fans but not casuals. Joshua coming off a win against Usyk would be an extraordinary payday.

Yeah to me this is equivalent to Floyd retiring when the WW division got hot while he stood to the side and let the Cotto-Margarito-Mosley-Williams situation sort it self out.. There no legitimate claim to saying you’re the best of this era when there will be guys out there that can make that same claim.. If Usyk beat AJ and Wilder somehow get that WBC belt and he beats Wilder then he’s the best of this era.. Same goes for AJ although Fury would have a better argument of AJ wins..
