Yeah, that is a possibility. Don't be surprised if Russian boxers start popping "dirty" all of a sudden as part of the propaganda war against Russia.

I'm gonna wait and see what the odds are for this fight, Joe will definitely be the underdog and if they're pretty good I'll bet on Smith. He's got an iron jaw and great power and Beterbiev who's 37 will be there for him. I think the flash point in this fight will come in the first minute , who's going to back up? I believe who's got the best chin could decide this fight. I think this is the , must watch bout, for 2022.

Should be a fun fight. Smith and Callum Johnson def need to mix it up at one point.

I picked Johnson to beat Smith if they fought in January 2022.

Why do you say he’s past his prime? He’s fairly old but he doesn’t have wear and tear, and he’s always in shape. He didn’t look like he had lost anything in that beat down of Browne.

No, he has the ring iq, the strength, the efficiency and the timing instead - so he’s a far superior fighter to Bivol.

Because I see it with thine eyes. I'm not the only one either. I've been a fan of his since 2008 and he's not as fluid as he once was and his reaction times have slowed. He's 37 y/o and has been boxing for 26-27 years, had 300 or so amateur fights fighting with a very aggressive style and fighters with that style are usually well past their best or done by that age or earlier.

I’ve been a fan for even longer than you (2006/2007) and he’s as good as ever. Browne could barely touch him. What fight gives you this impression? Chronological age becomes less relevant when you don’t fight too often and when you train regularly, and when you don’t take punishment. That’s Beterbiev. There’s no point in talking about what fighters are usually like at a certain age. Look at the fighter themselves. Look at Hopkins. Even a small guy like Pac fought for a long time at the highest levels. I remember back in the day reading a letter in the Ring magazine after Pac beat Barrera, the person was talking about him like he was Mike Tyson - in that he was going to be explosive and burn out quickly, very soon. Think about Pac’s longevity after the Barrera fight, he had barely started.
If you have two fights to compare that demonstrate that Beterbiev has slipped then I’m with you, but that doesn’t exist.

Think this will be a great one. Beterbiev doesn't have a great defence and Smith can bang, so he will have his moments but I reckon that Beterbiev's superior skill will make him prevail. Think it will be a more competitive version of GGG-Murata.
