I bring a ton of alcohol, weed (edibles or I'll step outside between fights to smoke), food, and candy.
DLH VS Chavez 1 was the only fight I've seen closed-circuit(at the Hollywood Park Racetrack) and it was a disaster. The stoppage caused some mini riots all over the venue and people started throwing trash bins at the screen. Never again. Still got the poster framed in my garage though.
In my midwestern neck of the woods it's playing at a Cinemark theater. Undecided if i'll go or just sail the high seas...
I feel you there!! Nobody at the theater will ever care either, they are just happy to have butts in seats.
I was thinking about going to a theater, but it's a 30 minute Uber ride. Punk ass Boston **** suckers too focused on arthouse movies to show a fight in the actual city.
In the old days, closed circuit technology provided boxing fans the ability to watch fights in theatres. No home shows at all. I can recall watching Duran-Leonard II (!), several Ali fights including the Rumble in the Jungle, and that abomination of a sparring match called Duran-Leonard III in a theatre.
Only fight I've seen closed circuit was Holyfield v Bowe 1 at my high school auditorium. No idea how they pulled that off.
