This is crazy, the LW belt is now vacant, only Justin can win the belt tomorrow, if Charles wins it is vacant.

This may affect my pick, I am still going with a Charles SUB but this may indicate a bad weight cut that may affect his durability...

That's a shame, because Charles really was the champion we needed to ween fans off Khabib's dick and to bring legitimacy to the division after he retired undefeated. A complete, professional, and exciting athlete who wasn't just another one of his leftovers.

Stripping him doesn't really matter to me though, personally. If he goes in there and knocks Gaethje down and twists him into a pretzel, I'm not going to walk away from the event thinking "that wasn't the champion." It's funny looking back to the press conference for the Poirier fight where he was fantasizing about moving back down to featherweight. There's no way that **** will ever happen now.

I'll be adventurous and pick Gaethje to win by KO. I think he has a significant physical and mental advantage over Oliveira with his successful weight cut, so if he screws this up, he's dead to me lol.

Dana's mouth is foaming at the fact this can set up a McGregor title shot

That was one of the first things I thought of when I heard Charles was ineligible. Whatever they have to do to get his mind of Kamaru Usman, I suppose. I don't even wish that kind of ill-will on Conor lol.

Conor has been tweeting now (as usual), hes definitely talking with Dana as we speak if Charles wins.

Dana would absolutely make Conor vs Oliveira for the vacant title, hell maybe even McGregor vs Gaethje

"Our dates just aligned perfectly, and who wouldn't want to see that fight?", Dana would say.

There was a time when I could see Gaethje somehow managing to fumble it and get KTFO'd by a washed-up Conor, but now I believe Justin could not only re-break his leg, but take it clean off. Maybe that's what we need. For someone to banish Conor from competition periodically like a malevolent spirit.

So, the fight is still five rounds, then?

UFC did him dirty here. Made weight backstage and the commission had a dodgy scale that weighted everybody half a lb heavy up front

AZ commission and he's fighting an AZ fighter in short bus Gathje

Yes, everything is the same except if Charles wins the belt is vacated.

Charles's punching technique is straight and generates some power. That these guys obviously under estimate.
Look at the guys he's put on the floor lately, Dustin and Justin have a good set of whiskers yet when Charles touched both of them it's like it just evaporates their soul and sucks the cardio and life out of them.
I did notice he also seems to take away what usually works for them. Especially Dustin who is usually an accurate puncher went into wild swings against Charles and was countered.
Justin is a bit dumb his coach always tells him not to swing wildly and he is successful when he corrects that. Again he goes in swinging like a mad man open to straight punches and gets starched.
Charles seems on another level with fight IQ and all round skill and power. Hopefully it's Islam next, that will be interesting, will be disgusting if Mctapper gets a free shot at the title with out having to go through someone first.
