imho kovalev at his peak is way way way way better than any version of bivol. Prime Kovalev breaking or not breaking canelo has nothing to do with bivol. Because, imho, prime kovalev sends bivol to the hospital faster than he blinks.

And I have never been a kovalev's fan. I find him a disgusting person. But man, this guy was something special at his prime.

Here's the catch though, that was my point about Bivol being heavier handed than Kovalev tonight. Clearly Kovalev was putting about 1/5th of his normal power into his shots, because he was so depleted and didn't want to gas. Yet that was still enough to keep Canelo honest and at bay for 10 rounds. Bivol in all likelihood, has far more power than that particular version of Kovalev that Canelo fought.

Oh I remember this one. I think people conveniently forget about this one or think things have changed since then. They haven't. Rijker was also a good women's boxer and avoided

Same, and goddamn it's a pity he couldn't have lasted a round and a half longer. Could you imagine the sheer number of post fight threads there'd be debating the scorecards? I'd probably have 5000 more posts and Shadow another 20,000 had that happened.:sisi1

man, you are too harsh on him. He said that about cotto and then he explained why. He said that his answers was cotto because he was his idol when he was a kid, and that he grew up watching his fights once and again and again while learning to fight, and hence why this fight was so special to him.

    It actually makes total sense.

Regarding bivol, well, he has to promote the fight, right? what do you expect him to say?

yeh he probably friggin does. he has the tools to give canelo a lesson. but we need knockdowns, and busted eyebrows. Bivol was never the agresssive destructive force of the KRUSHER. Bivol needs to turn those wrists.

As crappie as kovalev fought compared to his prime, I still think he was winning big up until the end. Strange world.

That will be the key of the fight. If bivol has the power to keep canelo honest. You say he has. I honestly dont know. If you are right, bivol will win. If you are wrong, bivol will lose. That's my opinion.
