Respect to Canelo, he challenged himself and came off second best. We have to celebrate guys like Canelo who are willing to reach for greatness.

 

Bivol hurt him real bad a couple of times and I feel like he could have stopped him towards the end of the fight, Canelo was completely gassed, his punches were slower than Joyce's at one point

He got outlanded almost 3 to 1 and judges were 1 round away from a draw

They're going to rob Bivol in a rematch. At least they'll do their best to try.

 

These Russian fighters are built differently. Compare and contrast to Callum Smith who literally shat himself before the first bell and had zero self belief.

 

the key was that he advanced walking while counter punching, negating canelos waist defense. Waist was not enough to avoid the 3rd, 4th, 5th... punches.

 

Canelo needs some Kronk fairy dust from Sugar Hill if he's going to compete at 175 vs these plus 500 shots

 

Those feel like such anticlimaxes after seeing him take on this kind of challenge even though any one of them would be a career defining win for all but a few active fighters.

 

So it's Canelo-Bivol II next September instead of Golovkin?
