He lost to an elite LHW, no other MW or JMW is eager to fight LHWs. I was backing Bivol, but no other fighter is chasing greatness like Canelo is

No other former middleweight is willing to fight at LHW?

Roy Jones went from MW upto HW and won a world title. Thats what great is.

Canelo is just good, not great. Thats all there is to it.

Respect to him for trying though

I will shame his inflated ego all day long and the boxing kabal that supports him

Roy is clearly a bigger man than Canelo.

I give Canelo a lot of credit for fighting Bivol at 175. He's an awesome fighter, future Hall of Famer, etc., but just happened to run into a bigger guy who stylistically has his number. And it doesn't help that Canelo is less dynamic, more predictable, and more flat-footed at 175. He would be better off mixing up his punches a bit - taking the steam off of some to set up others better. But he's been fighting like he's pounding a heavy bag with one or two hard punches at a time.

I don’t really know Roy Jones or Canelo that intimately, but if you say Roy is bigger than Canelo then ok 8==D

Shame on that ped boy as well as the corruption of boxing that ALWAYS errs in his favor. Bivol won big tonight and was still almost robbed.

No shame losing to Bivol. But it does expose that Canelo is slow of foot at any weight and will always struggle with elite boxers with good jabs.

Canelo started at welter and he is much smaller than all of them.

Canelo just bit off more than he can chew. To think he wanted Usyk next. Hell might as well challenge Fury while you are at it.
