This content is protected "in your last two fights, there's nothing you showed that you could do that" -Hearn "if not those two fights Canelo wouldn't have taken the fight" - Bivol "100%" -Hearn Timestamp at 0:25 secs.. From this statement it clearly or heavily suggests Canelo and Hearn clearly chose Bivol based on his last two fights where I'd argue he looked worse than against Joe Smith Jr and the like. And look how it backfired. Bivol is the first opponent since GGG who came to win.. And he 12-0d him
Soooooooo the million dollar Question Q is . . . Did Bivol come to spar??? Cuz didn't you say he was just gonna come to spar and pitty pat all night. So what happened Bro??
Funny thing is, Bivol's last two fights were just as dominant as this one. He just almost got blatantly robbed against Richards in the UK, just like the scoring in this fight.
Yeah, he came to win. I was wrong. He came to win and is the first guy to do so since GGG 2 and Isufi destroyer Saunders. And he made Canelo look like a one dimensional bum. I like how you're saying this as if to cover the emotional damage Canelo's performance has inflicted on you. Wonder how you'll spin this one? Let me guess Canelo won 5 - 6 rounds You literally thought Canelo would have a chance against Usyk. Usyk would play with Bivol let alone Canelo
What happened was exactly what I said might happen. Bivol is a big dude with lots of mobility and workrate, Canelo just couldn't get his range properly and a lot of his work was muffled by Bivol creating space. It's really hard as a shortstack fighting a bigger guy that uses his range. Canelo has never had the lightest feet whereas Bivol is very light on his feet especially for 175.
If you paid attention I said I favored Bivol and I gave my reasons, i.e. Canelo would be slower at 175, Bivol is hard to hit clean with power punches, Canelo wouldn't be as elusive at 175, Canelo would have a hard time landing body shots on Bivol due to the movement, etc. It pretty much played out exactly as I predicted. Can't say the same about you. Now perhaps you finally realize that Canelo fights are in fact real, not rigged and the judges aren't paid off to ensure Canelo wins. Canelo didn't look like a one dimensional bum, he had his moments, just faded late and didn't do win enough rounds. He's a better fighter at 168 than 175. He gassed due to carrying the excess weight and other factors, but take nothing away from Bivol, he fought a great fight and deserved the victory.
I wasn't scoring it too closely, I was at a watch party, but I thought the judges had it about right. Canelo had a great 9th round I remember that but then faded late. I thought the DAZN team's bias against Canelo was pretty bad, they were acting like Bivol was dominating at times, which wasn't the case. Most rounds were close, but Canelo just hung out on the ropes a little too much and wasn't his usual elusive self, he got hit with too many flush shots and didn't have his normal vibrant energy to come on strong late. Also didn't work behind the jab enough, Bivol's defense was real tight, it was a very difficult puzzle to solve for Canelo. It was an up and down performance by Canelo. He landed a few good shots like that uppercut on the inside, put some punches together at times but just couldn't match the work rate of Bivol in most rounds.
What gig would that be? I was proven correct with my prediction, you were proven cataclysmically wrong. Your gig is up, your fixed fight conspiracies sparring session narrative just got destroyed.
Canelo definitely didn't see what he thought he saw in Bivol. He and team are very good at picking fighter ripe for the picking but don't look like. An illusion. Dmitry was the magician tonight. That cherry wasn't for the picking.
