Better not have any thoughts of doing it again. The size difference is too much to overcome for Canelo and it slows him down going up the extra weight. Canelo is a great fighter who should be commended for taking these risks instead of being called overrated etc. Canelo just felt flat vs bivol but damn Bivol is a stud tho. Hopefully this pushes his career to new heights

Not surprised you’d not want that ;). The judges tried helping Canelo but Bivol got the win he deserved

While I agree that Alvarez would be best served at 168 or less I believe it was more Bivol than the weight that beat him last night. The Russian boxed brilliantly. He was aggressive when the opportunity appeared and used a solid jab throughout the fight. I think Alvarez would beat a lot of light heavyweights including current WBO belt holder Joe Smith Jr. but it is an inappropriate division for his body type.

Canelo needs to stop this vegan nonsense. It's rubbish

He was beaten twice in 160 by GGG as well. So he is good, but not very good, simple as that.
He is just picking his fight and put clauses and stacking the deck in his favor huge time.

Canelo dodged a bullet big time by not facing Beterbiev. That fight would’ve taken years off his prime.

On another note, Does anyone else think Canelo vs Demetrius Andrade at 168 would be interesting? I know Andrade hasn’t done ****, we need to see how he looks at 168 first and Canelo would rightly be the favourite but It might be fun to see how he handles it.

Canelo should trim down to 160. That is his real weight. Might take some effort but I doubt he’d be drained.
